The majority of Americans understand what President Obama is working towards. Some of us have always understood, some of us came late to the understanding but, one way or the other, we all came to the same realization. We came to the realization that President Obama is working for the betterment of the world, not just the United States.

Lies. Defined by the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary as:

an assertion of something known or believed by the speaker to be untrue with intent to deceive

Propaganda. Defined by the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary as:

the spreading of ideas, information, or rumor for the purpose of helping or injuring an institution, a cause, or a person

Combine the two and you have the most powerful tool a corrupt group can bring to bear on the ususpecting.

One thing I wish for you all is that you never have to cook for a foodie or a picky eater. I don’t actually cook for either – well, not usually – but I do order lunch for the office very often and I have a foodie (a person that I love dearly) and a picky eater (my boss) to please when I do order lunch. And when it comes down to pleasing either the foodie or the picky eater, you know the boss – that picky eater – is going to win. Of course, it doesn’t matter which one of them wins because I am always the loser.

Last night I watched the first new episodes of Scrubs on ABC. (I’m sooooo glad that show got picked up by another network.) In one show they talked about the physical process of death and how this one particular patient would experience it and I remembered something from years ago. Years and years and years and years…….you know, a really long time ago.

I’m feeling like blowing my head off today. Long story – not worth repeating. I just want to make sure that when I’m gone no one says, “She did it because Gary Oldman got married.” Believe me, I’ve got much better reasons than that.

There are some nasty rumors being spread around. Flyers are being distributed in low rent communities and mass robocalls are being sent out with lies about what will happen when you go to the voting booth. Let me clear up some of these lies.

Sarah Palin has been busy spouting off about Barack Obama's association with former radical William Ayers. This not withstanding the fact that during the time Ayers was actually practicing his radical acts, Obama was 8 years old, or thereabouts.

Anyone planning on using Medicare or Medicaid in the future should read this article from the Wall Street Journal very carefully.

But his ‘Old Fish’ remark was about McCain.

The McCain campaign has continued to scrabble around in the mud looking for things with which to attack Obama. During a campaign speech in Virginia on Tuesday, Obama said the following:

You know the old saying, “Better the devil you know.” But I wonder, do we really want to stick to the Devil we know when it comes to the President of the United States?

Like many Americans, I’m skeptical of all politicians, even politicians who say their stand on the issues is the same as mine. After all, the very nature of politics means that no one can really promise that they will remain true to their convictions. Compromises are the name of the game and, many times, something dear to your heart will be sacrificed in order to achieve something even more important to the politician.

Women voters who value their right to decide what to do with their bodies, women voters who place stock in basic family values, women voters who are concerned and knowledgeable about the global environment, women voters who are concerned and knowledgeable about energy will not be fooled by McCain's choice of Sarah Palin as a running mate.

Oooooooo, there’s lots of buzz going on about McCain’s choice of Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate. The Republicans think she’s just the cure that Hillary’s disappointed supporters are looking for. Is she? Really? Let’s look a little closer.

It’s painfully obvious that the Republicans know they have a losing candidate with a losing platform. They’ve nominated a candidate who has consistently aligned himself with the policies of a President that 82% of all Americans - not just Democrats, all Americans - are dissatisfied with, and the Republicans know they have made a drastic mistake.
