Orza's Random Thoughts
Why is the Internet so addicting? Two reasons: information and freedom. People go online to get information (music, news, stock prices, etc). Logging onto the Internet is like a kid going to a toy store; there is so much to do and explore that once you get in, you never want to leave. People also go online because

2006 has been a great and crucial year for videogames with new consoles (PS3 and Wii) and new innovations (motion-sensing, high-definition and online). In terms of the games, however, it is the older generation of game consoles (Gamecube and PS2) that really shines.

Scientists believe stem cells, unspecified cells that will eventually mature into specialized cells (brain cells, liver cells, etc), can lead to a medical revolution. Stem cells have the ability to regenerate cells and tissues, offering possible treatment for numerous diseases. Stem cells have two main varieties, adult and embryonic. Adult stem cells are derived from human tissues like bone marrow, skin, and placenta. Embryonic stem cells are derived from human embryos. Scientists prefer embryonic stem cells over adult stem cells because embryonic stem cells are more versatile. Although some may argue that embryonic stem cell research is unethical,

Vincent Chin was neither a pioneer nor a leader; he was just an average American who was murdered for being of Asian-descent. His murder and the subsequent trials brought Asian Americans of different ethnicities together to fight for his justice. Vincent Chin, unfortunately, symbolizes the detestation Americans historically has had with Asian-American. Ironically, Vincent Chin’s death also signifies the strength of the Asian-American voice and community.

Exactly one month after the launch of the Wii, Nintendo finally made the Wii Weather Channel available to the U.S. today. To get the weather channel, you must update your Nintendo Wii via a wired or wireless connection.
In addition to showing the weather in your location, the weather channel also allows you to view the weather of other places. With your remote, you can spin the globe around, zoom in and out and change viewing angels. It’s actually kind of fun to play with.

When Spicy Love Soup (Chinese title: Aiqing Mala Tang) was released in China in 1998; it received massive critical and financial acclaim. It’s hard not to see why; Spicy Love Soup has a lot going for it: excellent pacing, engrossing characters and strong story structure.
For a romance movie, Spicy Love Soup never gets too melodramatic. There are no star-crossed love stories here. Instead, the movie focuses on normal, everyday short stories in urban China:

After months of buying stuff on eBay, I decided to sell some of my stuff on eBay. At first, I wasn’t totally confident that my item will sell because I thought no one will buy from someone with zero sellers rating. I was also kind of intimated with the whole process.
So I asked my friend to use his account. He showed me the steps and processes. It was surprisingly easy to sell items on eBay. My first item sold via my friend’s help.

Like many other football fans, I grew up watching football on Sundays and Mondays. Now the NFL is putting games on Thursdays. One of the reasons the NFL has grown exponentially is that fans know when their teams will play. Sunday has always been a day reserved for football (and church, to a lesser extent). Having a NFL game on Thursdays, unless its Thanksgiving, just doesn’t feel right.
Not only that, they are putting games on NFL Network, a television channel that many people, including me, don’t have. Many fans will miss watching their favorite teams. I don’t think it works out financially for the NFL either since most of its revenues come from advertisement. With no one watching, the NFL won’t be making anything.
