A few basics before signing up with a program

1. If it sounds too good to be true it is. Most advertisers pay a small amount for clicking on their ads. Many programs offer points for reading ads - they can be used for advertising or upgrades with the program.

2. Familarize yourself with the program - what is the minimum payout, what payment processors are used, what the activity reuqirement is etc.

Types of paidto programs:

1. Paidtoreademails(PTR) - earn a small amount of money or points for clicking on email ads. Most ptr programs also have a paidtoclick (ptc) section on the site. Additional ways to earn are paidtopromote(ptp) and affiliate pages.

1. Sign up for an email account at gmail or
yahoo.

2. Join E-Gold or Paypal - these are the 2 most common payment processors in paidto.

3. I recommend using Firefox as your browser for paidto. Many ptr sites have paid mails with popups and FireFox will block most of these.
