Police Officer loses his job because of a cup of coffee

Coffee | daytona beach | fired | police | police officer | Starbucks

A police officer in Daytona Beach, Florida has been fired because of a cup of coffee. How is this possible you might ask. Well, apparently after a Starbucks coffee shop refused to serve Lt. Major Garvin with free coffee and wanted him to pay for it the officer replied to them that his response time may be a little slower should they have any situations there at the coffee house. Lt. Major Garvin told them that a two minute response time may turn into a fifteen minute response time.

How to become a Video Game Tester

video game tester | Video Games

Have you ever thought of becoming a video game tester? Great job you say ha, but where do I look? First off, not everyone could be a video game tester. If you are already a gamer though who spends at least 20 hours a week playing video games then becoming a video game tester may be right for you. Just remember though that you are doing an actual job. It's not like your just having fun playing games all you want. What I mean is, you might have to play the same level of a game over and over and over and over as you try to spot bugs or glitches in the game. Sure, it's not hard labor or anything but one must understand that they are providing a service and must file reports on their testing of the games they work on. What that means is you can't just sit down and have fun with the game; you have to analyze it, evaluate it, and be aware of everything that is going on on-screen. In retrospect, you won't be playing the game, you'll be testing it. Although that may not mean much to regular gamers, it means all the difference in the world to a video game tester.

Kung Fu Master Video Game

arcade games | atari | nintendo | old school video games | retro games | Video Games

Kung Fu Master was a very popular arcade game of the 1980's that later would be released on NES, Playchoice-10, Atari 2600, Atari 2800 and other video game consoles.

The main character of the game was Thomas. You had to punch and kick Thomas's way up 5 floors fighting grippers (regular size guys who liked to hold you), tom toms (the midgets - who would sometimes do a flip and smack you on the head) and knife throwers. You would take a real beating trying to make it to the top floor but if you did you would save your love - Sylvia. At the end of each floor you would meet up with the leader of the floor. You would probably get your butt kicked the first couple times around until you practice a little and learn the strategies to beat each leader.

Remembering He-Man - The Most Powerful Man in the Universe

80's | Cartoons | He-Man | retro | She-Ra

If you were a male child of the 80's then you probably were a He-Man fan. You remember He-Man don't you - the most powerful man in the universe. I recently bought the season DVD for my son that they came out with not to long ago and I loved watching it with him just as much as I did as a kid. Many memories were brought back from my childhood. He-Man, Skeletor, Trap Jaw, Beast Man, Teela, Man-at-arms, Orko, Ram Man, Snake Mountain and the list goes on. All of these names were once part of my regular vocabulary. If you liked He-Man, or for you ladies out there, She-Ra. Remember her, He-Man's twin sister. You might want to check out the link below and go back down memory lane.

Being a basketball fan I love to watch my favorite teams games on television. Just a few years ago I could watch all of their playoff games on TV when they would show the games on NBC. Now, you have to have cable to see these games as TNT has taken over the NBA Playoff games.

I remember watching some old television sitcoms like "The Honeymooners" and so on where the man would take on the womans chores in the house for a day and the woman would take on the mans chores for the day. It always ended in the same results, the man realizing how tough the womans job is.

I hate generalizations - Especially racial generalizations

Baraco Bama | blacks | generolizations | mexicans | racist

I was recently listening to a radio show that was talking about if Mexican people would vote for Baraco Bama. Both blacks and Mexicans called up the show and the show got pretty heated.

Some Mexicans called up and straight out said that they would not vote for Bama because he is black. There was one guy who made a stupid generalization. He was half Puerto Rican and half black. He said his father was black and his mom Latina and as a kid his dad would never work or do anything while his mom worked two jobs. He then went on to say that he thought that it was only his dad but as he got older and joined the military and began working that he would see that all blacks were just lazier than other people and that all Puerto-Ricans, Cubans, Mexicans, etc. know it. He also stated that all they do is complain and blame everything on the fact that their Great-Great-Great-Great-Great Grandmother was a slave. These kind of comments are what I mean by the statement I make when I say how I just hate generalizations. Sure, maybe there are some lazy black people who always complain but you just can not say that about them as a people. Let's say for instance that 99 out of 100 are just like what he said (I know 99 out of 100 are not, just an example to prove my point). That still does not give anyone the right to say that about the whole race of people. That one exception will not like it when he is a hard working man who fits nothing of that generalization.

Fantasy Sports

I played in a fantasy sports league this year for the first time. I played in a basketball league. I thought it would be real simple. You pick the players you want but there is a salary cap which means that you can't load your team with nothing but all the best players. I was doing good the first couple of weeks but had to really spend a lot of time researching what was going on around the league with the players and all. Had to keep track of what teams
