The Bribe of Congressman William Jefferson

Hats off to all of the intelligent and informative posts by Big Bad Johnny.

It's a very simple analysis BBJ! No doubt, the congressman had his hands in some dirt. The evidence was in his possession. His problem is indicative of what needs to be cleaned up in govenment...period. It may be unprecedented for the FBI to search a member of Congress--but it's not hard to rationalize this as "but one more intrusion on the rights of an African American".

I'm looking for Buchwheat!

I'm looking for Buchwheat. Buchwheat is the collective mentality here at Bloggerparty that thinks that New York is the greatest place on earth to live.

The truth is, I'm not looking for an arugment. I asked several friends last night if they could think of anything positive to say about New York. None could! Beyond the normal everyday things that people discuss, there really is nothing profound about the place, its culture, its climate, or its economics.

Does Anybody Have Anything Positive To Say About New York?!

Does anyone on this site have anything to say positive about the New York? Let's make it easy and elimate the obvious! Let's see if anyone living in New York has the mental prowess to work around these topics.

1. We know that the majority of you like to watch people in poverty sing for money.
2. We know that many of you feed the pigeons.
3. We know that the ultimate thrill on any given day is to ride the subway.

If You're Not Living in Southern California!..Oh Well!

Just back after a long sabatical, and for the life of me I can't figure out why anyone would want to post how wonderful living in New York could be. New York has had it's share of challenges for sure, but the city itself is dingy and brooding. People are buying into an illusion that New York is a wonderful place to visit.

My advice to anyone living there now would be to take the first availabe transport out!

THE PLIGHT OF THE HISPANIC IMMIGRANTS IN AMERICA

This is a delicate balancing act! But the key to all things in life is that little thing called balance. What we fail to understand is the fact that there is an elite power structure in place that has turned its head, and allowed agri-business to reap billions in profits off the backs of poor laboerers and farmworkers.

Las Vegas alone employs an army of Hispanic workers at minimum pay wages. All across the country you'll find hispanics who are willing to work for less than the minimum wage. Without a doubt, this has hurt the economy and created an unprecidented supply of cheap labor that big business is all too willing to employ.

Just wanted to check in and remind everyone to check out the new CD of Marion Meadows, "Dressed to Chill". The international release is scheduled May 23, 2006. This cat is hot! They only give me the hot ones to review.

Now for all of you deadbeats that actually think that this is a "party". I make serious cash on the side writing keyword content. Yes, I write for dollars....real dollars!

IS A SPANISH VERSION OF THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER GOING TO FAR?

A lot of internet bloggers are upset over the idea of a Spanish verison of the "Star Spangled Banner". The question is, does anyone have the right to say this is a bad idea! Is America a place, or is it an idea not yet fully recognized?

Is it time for a change in the way we do business in this country?

I'd like to hear your thoughts on the matter.

The Discovery of Jaga Jazzist

This is a group that I've just been turned on to by my youngest son. Interestingly enough, his musical journey started out to in listening to rap. He was of course caught up in the movment, which as everyone knows, is worldwide.

Quiet talks with the ol' man, and intellectual pursuits have given him a whole new perspective on what music means to him. He quickly moved through some of the major works of Sun Ra, Coltrane, Miles, and McCoy Tyner to name a few. What he discovered is a whole universe of talent that would otherwise have been hidden.

THE SAXY SOUNDS OF MARION MEADOWS

OK! I'm back to my senses, and I've washed the stinch off of myself. Thus, having engaged in a lively conversation about the merits of Eminem--I can now take you on a truly respectable musical journey.

Marion Meadows is a soprano sax man that lays it out on the table. His music is deep and intuitive. I'm listening to a beautiful melody called "1000 Dreams." This cut also features the smooth and silky piano licks of Michael Broening.

Emimen is nothing but a repackaged deal of the unique poetry, that has its origin within the 'misery' of the Black Underclass.

He'll take his wealth and fame--and the association with African American Culture will in time become a thing of the past.

I say that beauty and genius deserve all the attention they can get! Be sure and check out this new CD on its international released May 23rd, 2006.

My man Marion Meadows takes off on his latest CD "Dressed To Chill." The actual release is scheduled for release May 23rd. As usual, Marion is silky smooth with his souful blend of Jazz and R&B. His very persona suggests a high level of smooth sophistication that is ummatched in his class.

This is soul-driven Contemporary Jazz at its best! All of the cuts are thoughtful and compelling. However, my favorite is cut #11..."1000 dreams." It takes me to far away places. There is a beauty from another place and time that he captures. It's moving, progressive, and yet soulful and reflective. I think it's a lot like the personality of the MOOR.

There are some excellent posts coming thru the wire. Many of you are wondering if Trahads is on the up and up. Several days ago the mutt admitted that his income extrvaganza is up to a whopping .78 cents. There are others on the site that are doing far better---they however keep it on the down-low. I may be one of them!

This revelation isn't revealed to belittle the management at Blogerparty in the least. These folks have put a fine program together that will allow all of us to understand what the blogging phenomenon is all about. They may be silent, but their fondest hope is that we continue to create new and exciting post that will link the outside world with ours.
