~Pro-Ana to The Bone~

Pro-Ana or Pro-Anorexia. The glamorization of eating disorders, anorexia and bulimia as a life style. Young girls making a lifestyle choice to starve themselves to a pointless and painful death. Anorexia Nervosa is now popular and cool!

Underground websites promoting anorexia with shocking content. Parents need to know that their daughters are idolizing Karen Carpenter and other paper thin celebrities, while their only caloric intake being air.

Ruthless Protesting, Stop Spitting On Their Graves

I am angry, I am pissed! I have been holding this in for a week, hoping this anger would soon fade away. Nope. It doesn’t work that way.

I will not express at this time how I feel about the war. All my usual opinions do not count today. Because this is not about the war or the right to protest. This is about being so disgustingly disrespectful that I scream when I speak of this.

Americans protesting at the funerals of our soldiers. Yelling profanity at the families of these men and woman who served OUR country. Waving signs with Gods name on them and spitting on their graves. How dare anyone judge another human being, believe me their judgement will reflect on their actions of today.

Kellie Pickler or Ellie May?

I am looking forward tonight for the dumb and bubbly commentaries of Kellie Pickler. I normally would not allow this forceful ignorance to bother me. However, I dreamed all night that I went around asking everyone in my dream “What’s a ballsy? Not quite sure why this is so bothersome for me, but it is!

At the beginning I really liked Kellie, she is sweet and cute as a button. But her deliberate dingy act isn’t going to win her the title of “American Idol And now I cannot get the word “ballsy out of my head!

Pregnancy After Tubal Ligation

Is a tubal ligation full proof? Nothing being 100% I am having a pregnancy scare myself. And in search for answers, I came across a group of women who say they have become pregnant since their sterilization. A couple women are also saying that they have gone through two separate surgeries and got pregnant. I scratch my head and find this hard to believe. Twice! Come on.

I had my tubes cut and burned twelve years ago, the most effect method there is, and still I found woman with the same procedure claiming to be pregnant. I observed an on going theme on these message boards. Only a small percentage were ever actually pregnant, most of those ending in a tubal pregnancy. Only two woman had live births. So the theme was, these were desperate woman wishing that they were pregnant, women who regret ever being sterilized.

Easter Extras and Party Favors

I have been recycling for years and I am still always looking for new creative ideas. This party favor can be used for Halloween treats, birthday parties or for your child’s Valentines for their class in place of cards. It all starts with toilet paper rolls!

I have a special garbage can in my garage to collect our empty toilet paper rolls all year round. It fills up really quick too. Since Easter is around the corner we can use this holiday as an example;

Letting Baby Go

When she was three years old I was her hero. When she was nine I was her best friend. I was once her everything, by fourteen I was the only one she felt she could trust. I love my little girl. We were inseparable since her birth, everywhere I would go, she would go. I played dolls, got down on my knees and pretended to be a dinosaur. I was the “cool mom on the block that all her friends wanted to hang out with.

Prophet or Psychic

This has been a brain teaser for me for years. What is the difference between a prophet and a psychic. Why can one be Godly and the other not? Why can’t a clairvoyant’s sight be a gift from God? Are all methods of divination considered “evil in the Christian community?

All that I could come up with on my own is that a prophecy comes with God attached. Now, how would we in this day and age be able to acknowledge a prophet? What if we laughed at the next prophet and dismissed them as mentally unstable, and then something huge happened.

Bath Treatments

Stress Relief
Brew 3 cups of strong chamomile tea. Add to your bath water. Chamomile is soothing ,and the healing properties will ease away tension and the days stress.

Oily Skin
Add to bath water any combination of citric fruits, such as lemons, oranges, and grapefruits. Citric acids kill bacteria, remove impurities, and dry up excess oil. It is the ultimate aroma therapy, and a great way to use overripe fruits.

Always a Cheater

Due to work and my social life I have not watched televison in five years. I have spent the last few months catching up on what everyone else has already watched. Re-runs are all brand new shows to me. I promised myself that I would be more productive today. I was doing really good until about an hour ago. I was only going to listen while I did my housework.

Then Divorce Court came on. I tried very hard to continue working but, Judge Mablean Ephriam made the comment, “ He made one little slip up and you want to call the marriage off. Slip up? Oh my! Is cheating really a slip up? A person is completely aware of what they are doing at the time they are being unfaithful. I don’t know of many people who have actually blacked out and woke up having sex with another person. And if this is the case you need not worry about your morals on fidelity. I would suggest an AA meeting instead because drinking is obviously your “real problem.

The Perfect Person ~1~

There was a time I felt the world was against me. That everyone had everything but me. I was quick to blame whoever and whatever I could, as long as it did not relate to anything about myself. Never wanting to take responsibility it was much easier to pass the buck on. I was a mess and only lived to just exist. Then one day I woke up.

After spending weeks in bed I finally rose off the mattress and strolled into my bathroom. I washed my face with cool water and looked up into the reflection above the sink. I did not recognize the woman staring back at me and frankly, she scared me. I often found it difficult to take a few moments to look at myself in the mirror. Only long enough to brush my teeth and hair.

Have I Been Violated?

I am ready to pull my hair out trying to look up Oregon traffic laws. I am not finding what I need. Can anyone out there help me before I go to court? I was ticketed in my own driveway and something doesn’t seem right about this.

Two Sundays ago my husband and I drove up to our house after getting dinner and renting some movies. There was a cop car blocking our driveway. We parked on the side of the street and turned our vehicle off. I looked over and they appeared to be leaving, so my husband restarted the car and pulled into our driveway and parked. NOTE: We never turned the headlights back on!

Homeless in America

How many people have you turned away on the street asking for some spare change? In your mind you think “get a job you may have even let those words slip past your mouth. I often wondered how the homeless became that way in a country as great as America. How many Americans go hungry every day? At one time in my life I was less empathetic for those in such need. My heart has opened more to the less fortunate through out the years. I have several friends and family members who now do not mind given that loose change in the bottom of their pockets and purses when someone reaches out their hand on a street corner. They would scold me the first few times they witnessed my hand outs. My reply? “ You never know, that might just be an angel? I always get a wink and a smile from the ones close to me as they repeat my phrase and search for that dollar.
