career | job

Today's the big day. Feels good doesn't it? Today you are going to casually go to work, saunter up to your boss and say, " I'm putting in my two weeks as of today. "

After you let the cat out of the bag, you snickerd to yourself because you could tell that your boss was surprised. You were a rising star and it's his loss. Did you have another job waiting for you? Nope. You just had to get away from that job so badly that you didn't even care if you wouldn't be getting a paycheck for the next few weeks. Your boss should have know that you were quitting, right? All of the signs were there.

The Day I lost 1000 dollars using google adwords

adwords | career | debt | ecommerce | extra money | google | juice | juicing | money

I made an attempt to get out of debt by working online. The first program I signed up for was Linkshare. I wanted to become an affiliate and sell products like flowers and skin care stuff. I was met with a teeny problem however. I did not know how to advertise these products. I tried creating my own website for a bit, but then I didn't know how to do html. I know. I tried those website maker things, and they worked good but not good enough. Then I thought I had finally stumbled onto something when I saw someone online talking about the thousands of dollars they made using google adwords. They did not even have a product of their own to sell. Im talking thousands of dollars here. I saw actual screen shots of the pay checks. And I got really excited. I went to Barnes and Nobles and bought a book on adwords. I thougt that my debt was over for sure.

My first 5.00 towards paying off my debt

Yes! I made five dollars today by writing a news article for Associated Content about money. Boy did it feel good. I just wonder why the other 5 articles I wrote for them haven't been published yet. Its fine though. Im sure that they will be published in time. I am currently looking into more and more ways to make extra cash. To my dismay, I don't really own anything to sell. I have a nice financed convertible and thats about it. So I must look for ways to make money without having a product. I think the internet is my best vehicle because I love typing and just plain being. On my computer....

Life After Graduating College: The kids you see now from your high school graduation class

I wish I had know one thing when I was in high school. Just one thing. You see when I was in high school, I was known as the geekazoid. I had glasses, bad hair. I was a bit overweight and occasionally I smelled. Well, that was just middle school. In highschool I promise you, the smell was just about gone. But anyway,In short and in long, I was known as the geek. I studied as I walked down the hallway. The second day of school felt like the worst day of my life because that was the day I had to beg someone to be my lunch table partner for the rest of the school year. "Can I sit here?" Oh, it's taken? Oh ok.

How to keep a man

Ok girls. Do you want to know how to really keep a man? You simply dont give him what popular culture has told you he wants. That would be sex and making out. You simply somehow, and it is possible, get him to love you for your inner beauty rather than your outter buttocks. Your laugh rather than your a%%. Simple see. How do you do that? The first step? Try your hardest not to distract him with your cleavage and boom, bang you are on your way. Try to talk to him rather than tease him and before you know it you about to become that girl he cant seem to get out of his subconsciouse. Its just that easy.

Life After Graduating College: The tangled web of paying the bills

The smell of cigarette smoke wafted over to me as i sat on my first day as a waitress. My graduation from an Ivy League university flashed through my mind as I looked at pictures of lean cups of beef and garlic and butter juice. Study was no longer about schindler's List and The great films of all time. The great Gatsby, Modern Poetry. No. "please study that you must place the napkin on the left" Or was that the right? I guess I will find out today. In the meantime, the bills keep coming. The credit card interest keeps looming, but I am saved and content. Right? I am getting there anyway. At least there is that. My mom says dont get too comfortable because you dont pay rent. You have got a college degree and you better use it.

Life after graduating college cont. (Today I became...)

A waitress! You see, my retail is merging with another company so they are going to be moving some employees around. I am very excited. Why do you ask? Because I get Tips! I know. I graduated in May of 05 from a very prestigious school with two majors. Therefore, how in the world can I be excited about becoming a waitress in a steakhouse? Because I am. Because I know that timing is everything and I dont want to sell my soul to just any career job for a year. I want the right job. A job that I will enjoy. I want to work that job for a year. Sell my soul to that boss for a year. Because you see as a waitress, there just is no real comittment.

You sooo cannot get a virus by checking you email, helllooo

Ok in response to a recent blogger, you absolutely cannot get a virus just by checking your email. I know because I used to work as a computer help desk consultant at the Information Technology center at my college. And no, you just cannot get a virus simply by opening your email. Something has to be downloaded. Now, if you have your computer security settings set up so that you things are allowed to download automoatically when you open webpages, well then you have a problem. Basically that means that your security settings are not set up, and not only do you have a virus problem but most likely a spyware problem as well.

Life After Graduating College

If you are looking for a way to grow up quickly. Theres no better way to do it than to go college. You go in a sexy hot 18 year old young thing. The boys know you by the name of freshman/freshmeat. You come out a 22 year old mature conservative grown gal with a college degree, a college ring, a college sweetheart perhaps, a couple college stories to tell, and a college headache. Get me out of here, dont look back. But hey. You're grown now, so suck it up. Put that blazer on and get your butt to interviewing because now you've got college loans billing you up the wazoo. But hey you're grown right.
