Every child learns in his/her own special way. There is such a thing call ‘learning readiness’ in every child and adult. Some children learn readily because they are taught so early in life. Some children refuse to learn because they are not ready to do so. Others do not have the opportunity at all.

Starting a web business anyone? Don't raise your hand first. Unlike a brick and mortar business, it will be easier. Maybe except the web site part.

My friend does not have a web site yet. However, she is going to learn to build one. Clever of her. I allowed her to read a book by Site Built It!

I was at a shopping mall the other day. I passed by a few vendors with sales persons distributing fliers to the prospects. I was hopeful to get one. Yet, when I approached a sales person, she turned away. I looked at her in dismay.

You may receive better job opportunities from time to time. Then it will be time to edit or change your resume. Yes, it is a tedious job. There are so many elements you need to change and add.

This is where your cover letter comes in handy. Covers letters are actually an excellent means to customize your message for each opportunity. You just have to change some wording of the first cover letter to suit the new opportunity. This is easier than rewriting the whole resume again.

Can your resume grab someone’s attention for more than 10 seconds? No, you don’t know, and may not even know. But, why only 10 - 15 seconds? Can’t it be longer?

Well, that’s how long a hiring manager would pay attention to anyone’s resume and cover letter. Whenever there is a job vacancy, there will be hundreds of applicants. A 10-15 second is better than none! No hiring manager is not going to read the resumes word by word.

Do not worry if you feel dissatisfy with your present job. There are many causes of job dissatisfaction. Many people accept jobs to earn the money, period. There are not many who will even try to align their personal interests, skills, passions as well as values with the jobs they choose. Are you one of them?

So, you have lost your job. Of course, you will be disappointed. But, do not let the disappointment stop you from looking ahead. Be objective and try to understand what happened. Is that possible? Not really. On a certain level, we may have the same opinion of certain topics. We may even have the same likes and dislikes. Yet, there are many things that set each and every one of us apart; experience, education, locality, culture, social and so on.

These days, many fresh graduates are attracted by job advertisements that promise high paying jobs with a short list of responsibilities. Yet, most were shocked when they tended the interview. The interviewer asked them so many questions, (some are rather personal too) and they were dumbfounded. Some of the responsibilities asked during the interview were not even listed in the advertisement!

Living in this new century, we have erased our beliefs about witchcraft and fortune telling. Yet, we still flip through pages of the periodicals and dailies to look for the horoscope.

I have met people who would refuse to do something on certain days because they believed in their 'horror' scope. I said 'horror' because these people were horrified what would happen to them should they disobeyed the scope.

It is already 18 days into the new year of 2008. What had happened the past 18 days? Were the events important?

Anyway, everyone still has 348 days to go, to be sure as 2008 is a leap year. Do you realize that 348 days are actually not many? To be specific .... there are 8,352 hours to go and the time is counting.

How do you spread the news of your site? Not everyone would take the trouble to go to your site. The fact is, nobody bothers. Unless you have a physical brick and mortar business, you can seldom get people you know to your site.
