I bought my first digital camera about five months ago. Since that time, I have been carrying it everywhere. It is always on hand should I ever stumble upon that elusive photo-op that will give me the ammunition to wow my friends and family with hundreds of colorful pictures. I’ve taken so many photos of family members, co-workers, and inanimate objects, my acquaintances are now starting to avoid me. I’m not sick. I just like to take pictures. Apparently, many people don’t like having their pictures taken on a consistent basis by the same person; something about restraining orders and such. Oh well.

Terrible Tom and his B****es
This is the story of Terrible Tom the Turkey and his Three Bitches. Names have been changed to protect the privacy of those involved.
Terrible Tom and his three bitches make a daily appearance in my yard, and have been for the past two months. I have no problem with this. The rural town in which I live is quite familiar with various oversized birds. Vultures like to inhabit the trees in the summertime, crows fill the air with their maniacal laugh in the fall, and Canadian Geese seem to grace us with their presence all year long.
I Hate To Keep Dragging This Out, But…The Death Penalty.
Hello all. I wrote this for WritingUp several months ago. I just recently read a post here at Blogger Party about the death penalty and it prompted me to repost this. The post provoked some very interesting comments originally. However, my purpose is not to provoke contentious dialogue. It is just my viewpoint. I’ve decided not to update the original post, as we all know what happened to Stanley Williams. ************
The Good Old Days; What the Heck were they Thinking?
What does it say about the appropriate family unit of the pre-baby boomer generation when elderly women attempting to live out their final years in peace are instead living in uncertainty? Who are these seniors now attempting to live alone after being taken care of their whole lives?
Tragedy
Tragedy is, but a fleeting moment in time,
Burned within our eyes, burned upon our minds.
Tragedy is, but a fury of discourse.
Within our minds spoken.
Upon our hearts broken.
Tragedy is, that what must be overcome,
Which Side Are You?
Too far to the left, too far to the right
The call’s been put forth, to join in the fight.
There’s no middle ground, so quick grab a flag,
Morality and God packaged neatly and tagged.
And what side to take, should you not want to choose,
Seat Belt Laws. Stop Whining and Buckle Up!
I’ve been hearing news lately that several states may institute policy changes regarding seat belt laws. Instead of being liable for a fine should you be stopped for something else first and it is found that you failed to buckle up; it could soon be policy that a motorist can be pulled over by the police for the sole purpose of not wearing a seatbelt.
Once Again, WritingUp is Down!
I have always felt that it is important to give new software technology a chance. I have always supported the concept of WritingUp and was willing to weather through its growing pains. I never complain about the money I am making (or lack there of). I appreciate the community feel of WritingUp. I’ve made friends there and more importantly, a readership. I’ve never attempted to gain reads by posting blatantly provocative content. I simply write about what I know or how I feel, and for some unknown reason, people would read
1753, Through the eyes of the Horse Lady.
Flagrant persecution, abounds over seas,
The shores of a fledgling nation,
For whose open arms they flee.
Stewards of the land, T’ is in their blood to sow,
God willing in this strange land,
Sittin' on the Fence.
I believe abortion is murder, but I don’t feel that legislating a ban on a woman’s right to choose is a good idea.
I believe gay couples should have all of the same rights as straight couples; including the right to marry.
Greetings to All!
Hello. I am new to Blogger Pary. I have one question aimed at those who have wondered over from WritingUp. Do you post the same content on both sites?
I write two blogs at WritingUp. I write about my job in EMS, of which I was hoping, at one time, to lure other healthcare professionals and hopefully police and firefighters into the stream of conversation. It has worked with varying degrees of success.
