Chicago Yelp Website Has Major Donnybrook Concerning 9/11 Theory

Major confrontation broke out today when a writer at the Yelp Chicago reviews site started a forum insinuating elements of our own government might have been behind the hijacked planes and subsequent attacks on 9/11/2001. The usual staunchly Republican and conservative elements of the site immediately and idiotically pooh-poohed this suggestion reflexively without supporting their positions at all, and became extremely defensive when the original poster began to intelligently rebuff their incredibly weak arguments.

This Season's Super Bowl Teams Will Be....

The 2007 Super Bowl will match....drumroll please...the Indianapolis Colts and the Dallas Cowboys. This is the year the Colts finally break through and don't choke in the playoffs. The Cowboys are playing the best football in the NFC right now and have the player who is emerging as the best quarterback in the conference in Tony Romo. The Chicago Bears are everyone's favorite to make the Super Bowl out of the NFC, but much of their success has been the result of fluky special teams play and blind luck.

Is There Anything More Effeminate Than A Man On A Cellphone?

Does anything make a guy look like a dandy more than him walking down the street having a loud, self-absorbed telephone conversation? I mean, you might as well just put a fur coat on and get it over with if you're one of those guys Real men rarely, if ever, use cellphones. Only the most overtly metrosexual guys use cellphones heavily...the rest of us know better.

Charlie's Angels In Vegas Featured A Bevy Of Celebrity Cameos

I saw an episode of Charlie's Angels on a syndicated rerun network the other day that was truly priceless. This episode occurred during the reign of Cheryl Ladd, Jaclyn, Smith, and Kate Jackson, and it took place in Las Vegas. The opening footage with Charlie's Angels theme music was different than usual (Vegas-themed). Best of all, this episode featured a co-starring role from Dean Martin and Dick Sargent (the 2nd Darrin from "Bewitched") and cameo appearances from Vic Morrow and Scatman Crothers.

The Chicago Bears will lose at home to the Minnesota Vikings today on the frozen tundra of Soldier Field. The predicted outcome is Minnesota Vikings 24 Chicago Bears 17. The Bears are overrated and will not play in the Super Bowl. The NFC representative will be the Dallas Cowboys.

Britney Spears Media Overcoverage Reaches Saturation Point

Britney Spears has received entirely too much coverage from the media lately. Between her divorce from ex-husband Kevin Federline (Britney's 2nd divorce following her 1st divorce to Jason Alexander, not to be confused with the actor of the same name on Seinfeld and KCF commercials), her refusal to wear panties and other women's undergarments, or her alleged partying exploits with the unsavoury likes of Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan, haven't we seen and heard just about enough about Britney.

Gentrification Gradually Sucks The Life Out Of Chicago

Gentrification and the associated homogenization are gradually sucking the life out of the once vibrant and diverse city of Chicago. Too many yuppies have relocated from the suburbs and instituted their shallow and materliasm-Obsessed lifestyle on the rest of the population. There are way too many Gap stores, etc. and parts of the city that were once alternative and quirky are becoming yuppiefied and suburbanized.

I Predicted Congressional Election Results In A Blog Earlier This Year

I predicted almost totally correctly the election results for both chambers of Congress earlier this year. In a previous blog at Blogger Party I predicted the Democrats would win by a 65-35 margin, and sure enough this proved to be approximately correct. For now, the Democrats have a majority going into both chambers of Congress when the lame duck Republican-controlled Congress gives up its reign next January.

Eviction Is A Sad Thing To Watch, Even Worse To Experience

Eviction is a sad thing to watch, and especially bad if you are the one being evicted. I saw signs of an eviction in a nearby apartment a few days ago. I didn't see the actual eviction take place, but I did see all their property in front of the building. It gradually disappeared over a period of about 4 or 5 days. At first there were some potentially valuable items...including a television and some other unknown electrical equipment and some furniture.

Forward This To Anyone You Know Connected To Or Living In Peoria, IL

There is a serious situation potentially developing in Peoria, IL right now, and possibly in other Midwestern communities as well. Last night's storm, a toxic and heavy mixture of rain, freezing rain, snow, and rain mixed with snow and who knows what else...devastated the Midwestern U.S. Among the cities hardest hit was Peoria, IL, which got at least 10 inches of snow in a very short time span. Apparently a lot of people were unable to keep up with the snow (in terms of shoveling) and are now trapped in their homes.

A Great Place To Express Your Opinions!

There is a great site on the web called Yelp.com at www.yelp.com. At Yelp, you can write reviews about local businesses such as restaurants, stores, sports teams, etc. You can rate the businesses on a scale from 1 to 5 stars, and it seems the reviews are rarely censored. There is a different Yelp for every city and the big cities such as Chicago, New York, and San Francisco have hundreds of reviewers who are active in the community.

How To Rule the Blogger Party Universe (and make $ in the process)

I've received a number of private messages where people are asking me how I get so many readers for some of my blogs. This doesn't happen from one simple cause but instead requires a combination of efforts resulting in a cohesive Blogger Party/Google Adsense income building strategy. I will mention some of my most effective methods below, and I encourage you to steal these ideas.

1. Write lots of blogs, and write regularly. This allows you to build a regular readership. And eventually writing enough blogs results in your Blogger Party screen name appearing on the "Life of the Party" list, which has its obvious benefits. Don't write extremely short blogs, as it turns off new visitors to the site, a development that benefits none of us. Ideal length is about 200-1000 words.

How Personal Attacks From Other Members Play Right Into Your Hands

There is a not-terribly-bright radical conservative member of Blogger Party who is doing his best to degrade me at every opportunity. He is posting countless comments attacking my intelligence, writing, etc. thinking that in some way this is harmful to my Blogger Party experience and that by drawing attention to me he is somehow hurting my cause.

The reality is this particular radical conservative member is doing nothing but helping me. By unwisely drawing still more attention to my blogs, he is increasing my readership tenfold and increasing the amount of cash going into my Google Adsense account at a breathtaking pace.

Are Republicans A Distinct Minority At Blogger Party?

While reading through numerous politically related posts here at Blogger Party, I can't help but notice that pro-GOP posts are outnumbered by anti-GOP posts by a ratio of approximately 20 to 1. The few GOP supporters often seem hurt, beaten down, even defeated. Their attempts to criticize more liberal members often backfire, resulting in a mob action where the Nazi/Republican is publicly lashed by numerous bloggers presenting far more convincing arguments than the GOP-supporter can muster. Clearly this trend is evident not just on Blogger Party but nationwide as well. The 2 most vociferous anti-Bush media personalities, Jon Stewart and Howard Stern, currently represent 2 of the hottest names in media.

Is "The OC" Really "A Show That Defined A Generation"?

Fox is boasting in its promo spots for "The OC" that it is "The show that changed a generation". While I find it to be a show abundant in sexy female eye candy and thin & unbelievable yet strangely interesting plots, I think this boast from Fox is stretching things a bit far. "The OC" is only in its 3rd season and is far too vapid or shallow to influence anything more than the fashions worn by teenage girls attending suburban high schools. The show has made no major statements and only addresses serious social problems and social questions from a very distant, ditzy viewpoint. If "The OC" is indeed a show that changed a generation, I can't help but perceive that generation as anything other than a bunch of morons.
