I'm A GrandFather!

I recently received an email picture from my daughter of my grandson, he's my boy's new child.I had to reflect on how I was seeing my grandson for the first time, through an email with an image taken by a cell phone.I remember when my son was born.I called everyone from a landline Ma Bell phone.

Will Billions Better The World?

Money is a means to better the world.I mused on a hot summer day, whether the billions Bill Gates' charity has to spend on the worlds needy and now Warren's, will actually make a difference? I pondered what would I do to change the world for the better if I had such funds? I bounced some of my world solutions off my brother while we waited on Sunday dinner.
I decided that the best use of the billions would be to build infrastructure in the neediest thirld world countries.

Horror Films Peak On Hill

I recently viewed "Silent Hill" at the movies and it is one
in a line of recent films to visually assault the viewer with
unsettling images that overwhelm the story.
There isn't a lot to the story."Saw" had a story line to match the gore. This one just shows the scriptwriters'distaste
for fundementalist Christianity.
The saving grace is the visual beauty of the horrific imagery
which I believe is the point of the whole exercise.

Concept Conquers!

Last night I sat down to read the most recent issue of Newsweek,
As I thumbed through the pages, something caught my eye.I flipped back through the pages. There it was a full page ad that resembled the inside page of a library book, where the return card stuck out of the pocket glued to the page. What is this?
I pull out the fake return card and on the opposite side was a
promotion for the new Buick Lucerne sedan. If you are a fan of creative advertising it was a pleasant surprise to finally see

White Rabbits On Wheels

Where I live, the oft quoted description of the city is,"It's a great place to raise kids."; with that in mind I have to say the minivan has become the curse of the open road here.
Everyone seems to drive one.
From the suburbs to the ghetto. You see gleaming ones to hooptie minivans clogging the roads.
It's okay, but the problem is the menacing way they 're driven. The drivers can't seem to get that they aren't a SUV or a sports car.
