Just got this album, and I'm on my third listen through, which I think qualifies to me to give a basic review.

First off, for those of you who know Elvenking, good for you. They are an Italian Folk-Metal band, and are very fun. Their first album was amazing, and their second album was okay, except for the fact that they had a different singer, cause their singer, Damnagoras, got sick or something and couldn't sing.

BUT HE'S BACK! Yaaayyyy!! This album really gets lots from Damnagoras, since he is just such a great singer.

Okay, now, on my first listen through I was like ho hum...kinda bored, going...."dang...has elvenking lost it?" But of course, I'm not stupid. You have to listen to anything at least three times before fully appreciating it at all.

Okay so I just finished reading this book, called The Tao of Pooh, and it is about Winnie-the-Pooh, and how he is basically like a Taoist bear.

It's a really good introduction to Taoist philosophy/religion plus it gives tons of examples straight from Winnie-the-Pooh, so its very nostalgic.

I suggest anyone who is interested in Chinese philosophy or just learning about a different way of seeing the world to check this out.

Be warned though, the author, a supposed "Taoist" doesn't really follow his own book, as he spends some time judging other people, which really has no part in Taoist philosophy.

Yes yes, that's right. It's my birthday. Hoooooorah.

Wait, nevermind, I'm all alone. THAT'S RIGHT! ALL ALONE ON MY BIRTHDAY!

See, my lady friend is at work, and my grandma can't make it to our lunch date cause she's gotta pick up her hubby from the hospital (minor hip surgery). And my lame dad had to reschedule dinner tonight cause he can't make it cause he forgot to properly check his schedule!

So I'm all alone. Plus my other roommate just moved out like an hour ago, so I am totally alone. Not only that, but I have lots of homework to do, including two papers due this week, and I have tons to pack since we are moving in two days and aren't even closed to finished.

Okay, so everyone who knows good metal knows In Flames.

I'm currently listening to Lunar Strain, their first album.

The thing is....it's just so good!

Okay, so a little In Flames lesson for those of you who don't know. In Flames was originally made up of these guys, and one of the guys, the singer, was the singer who is currently singing for the awesome band Dark Tranquillity. His name is Mikael Stanne. Then something crazy happened and they went through alot of singers, until they finally settled on their current rapper...er...singer...Anders Fridén.

Now, I have..well...had...nothing against Anders..hell, on Whoracle, he was fugging awesome. And the new version of Clad in Shadows is brilliant. But besides that, In Flames has really gone down hill. Like alot. I know its not all Anders fault, cause the music has changed alot too, but really...he just doesn't sing cool anymore. Anyways, so I'm listening to Lunar Strain and wondering why they got rid of Mikael...he was a better singer, and they were WAY more creative with their songs back in the day.

This be my first post!! YAAAAYYY!

First off folks, I think bloggers are silly. Those putzes, all they do is whine and complain. I'm not here to complain. I'm here to put out my interests and thoughts, and perhaps get some cool feedback.

A few things about me.

Looks: Glasses (contacts are too annoying these days), zits (not too many), long hair (brown, straight), thin, 5'10" or so, trying to be musclar, but not succeeding....I wear black mostly.

NO! STOP! I AM NOT A GOTH! OR AN EMO!! I have a fun personality and love making jokes and whatnot. I am, on the other hand, a metal-head or whatever you call my kind these days. I like METAL! (Listening to Enigma, by Edge of Sanity right now, classic black metal!) I don't like it cause I have anger issues, or I'm depressed, or any of that stupid stuff. I like it because its FUN! There is nothing more fun than cranking something super heavy and headbanging.
