Saddam Hussein
Saddam Hussein who ruled his sovereign nation as he saw fit, who was able by his efforts to limit the civil Shiite/Sunni violence, who has been sentenced to death by a tribunal clearly under the thumb of the American government, has declared his reasons for no longer wishing to participate in the trial.

Inasmuch as we have an opportunity to catch our breath, politically speaking, now that the Senate and House Of Representatives have come under Democratic control, I shall take this opportunity to discuss with my readers the pros, and cons, of organized religion.
I knew that would make you happy!
I attended a dinner, presented by a Southern US Christian church and I came away uplifted.

Open letter To Agaric
Some good, hard working, freedom loving Americans feel that we should support our president, in any matter, and that to support our troops is to support our president.
Agaric is one such good American. He responded in a thread to one of my posts, critical of the administration's conduct of the war in Iraq. What follows is my open letter to Agaric:

former frontrunner Kerry!
(I'm back, people!... BBJ)
Re: Mr. John Kerry:
Well, here we are ladies and gentlemen, a few days before mid-term elections, a short two years before the national elections. We Democrats have everything going for us. We're going to undo the damage in Iraq, the damage to our world reputation, bring the economy back into focus: we've got it "made in the shade"! And who is our front runner for president (Hillary notwithstanding), our brave and noble outspoken spokesman? None other than the honorable John Kerry!

What is wrong with Blogger Party? That is the question.
I have written, for all intents and purposes, daily for Blogger Party for, about seven months now. Great articles. I love the layout, the ease with which pictures can be added to written content. I do, I love the layout!
Blogger Party promises to pay for written material. People click on ads, they get half the income, we writers get half the income. Well, blast me, but I’ve yet to receive a penny from Blogger Party.

Nobel prize winner, President Jimmy Carter
We are all aware that our current President George Walker Bush, who grew up in the shadow of his father, has declared a position, and once having declared a position he is adamant, and recalcitrant, feeling that to change such position will give the appearance of uncertainty, and admission of having been "wrong".

Mark Foley
I said Yesterday that I thought the still seamy Page scandal, which includes hot e-mail between Mark Foley and young male pages might be a clever smoke screen to cover up more significant if less titillating scandals.
From Fox News:
"WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Even if former Rep. Mark Foley did not violate federal laws by exchanging sexually explicit Internet communications with underage boys, he still could find himself charged under state statutes."

rebuilding Iraq
There is more going on in Washington this week then a sleazy tale of 18 year old pages being hit on my nasty old men.
Parsons Corporation, which has given $22,500 to House Speaker Dennis Hastert, $23,500 to James Oberstar, not to mention $886,000 to members of congress since 2000, has been ordered to halt work in Iraq.

George Bush
Readers, take note! Where I am at, it's Wednesday, September 27, 2006. It's "hump day" ! I think I'll review some of my recent thoughts.
This first piece, I wrote, as Bush was going to Iraq to celebrate the new Iraqi government, whose installment was highly Americanized.

Jessica Lynch
Some of you may have noticed that the incidence In the fighting, and civil strife, in Iraq, of torture, cruel, barbaric, repulsive, has come up more and more often of late. Until just a few short weeks ago, it was not an issue, never mentioned.
Early in the war with Iraq, Jessica Lynch was captured by the Iraqis. We were fearful that she would be killed, or humiliated, or mutilated. She wasn't. She was treated with respect. Some of our enemies placed themselves in jeopardy to protect her. She was rescued, and is safe and sound.

On Wednesday, September 20, (just last week) I posted the article which follows. It deals with issues related to terrorism, and our current level of "safety".
Over the more recent weekend, the New York Times published content that agrees with my contention. Allow me to gloat (a little).
Following the two articles, I have added critical and timely comments which I know you will enjoy!

The planet, Jupiter!
To those tired of my political tirades, this dusty!
In my on going effort to keep up to date on the world in general, and obscure philosophies in specific, I have used the current and most nouveau phrase, "intelligent design". Between ourselves, dear reader, I prefer "creationism". This idea of the Supreme Creator and Judge, sitting there, being "intelligent" gives me the quivers.

The World is better off today, because of George Bush and his "war on terrorism". True, or False?
The issue of the entire world having lost some respect for America is obvious.
The issue of American policy in Iraq generating hatred and encouraging every young Iraqi man to embrace a time of "terrorism" is obvious.
Since the beginning of the war, in March, 2003, the number of Iraqi citizens that have died ranges by estimate from 43,269, to 48,046. Might not history accuse George Bush of genocide?
