Sex has been around since Adam and Eve (that's if YOU believe in them anyways). It's readily available in magazines, the internet and the most famous form of advertisement - word-of-mouth. However, some things good or bad just can't exsist without an adverse effect. That's why it is lamented that we should learn to abstain until a responsible relationship such as a marriage.

What about those people who just cannot control their compulsive desire to have sex? I see mental torture in their future! I do believe that it is the right thing to abstain - but then again it's just my opinion. I have witnessed alot of friends and aquaintances who chose to indulge in sex rather than to abstain. It's really sad seeing a young girl trying to finish school and she has to worry about another child - when she herself is a child. Then to look at a sixteen year old boy wishing that child wasn't his. It's all sad to think about but these things do happen. The simple yet undone solution? Abstain .

I recently got into a relationship with someone who has been "checking" me (as we say in the Caribbean). We knew each other for a good while and the friendship blossomed into a loving relationship. But guess what? We are both teens, and we both value marriage. He always says that he will marry me when we get a bit older which by the way would put me at 19 and him at 20.

Yes, I can see the shocked faces and raised eye-brows. You might be thinking marriage is a big commitment. It might not work. You haven't experienced life ... and the thoughts go on.I can assure you, we are both aware of all the above.
