Daily Caloric requirement: BAM... IN MY FACE!
Wow, Maybe this has been going on for a while, I don't know... I don't frequent Mcdonald's all that often. But yesterday, I took my kids to the good old golden arches for lunch!
As we're eating and laughing and just enjoying lunch together, I noticed the nutritional information label posted (in LARGE PRINT, I might add) right smack dab on the side of my fries.
Ok, I agree that it is completely MY responsibility and my choice when ordering whether or not I want to "supersize" my meal. But really, do I need to read mid-way through lunch that I've just injested my entire caloric allottment for the day in ONE sitting!!
NO TV??? yes, I'm serious!
As you could tell from my previous post, I enjoy reality TV. IN fact, I enjoy it SO much, it's really become almost crippling. What's become really scary, is that I watch my kids becoming "addicted" to their favorite shows as well. And I really don't like that.
Since TODAY is the last day of school, my husband and I have made the radical decision to cancel our cable subscription for the summer. NO TV FOR THREE MONTHS!!! WOW.
Starting Over Fan, I think...?
Does anyone else out there watch Starting Over? It's a TV Reality series where six women live together in this super cool house and they get help from life coaches with their "issues".
I'm scared that I watch this show to compete with the women because I find myself constantly thinking, "Oh, I am SO much more messed up than she is..." Like it's something to be proud of that I can eat more in one setting than Jill, or that I have even less confidence in myself most of the time than Christie (is that possible?)
