Job perks!

What kinds of perks does your job have? I'm looking forward to one of ours tomorrow! You see, in property management, we throw parties and give gifts for our tenants now and then. Since I work for a big company, vendors are pretty desperate to get our contracts. Because once they get in with one of our buildings, the others are likely to use them too.

The importance of communication at work!

So I was a bit frustrated yesterday when I found out that I was going to have to include other people in what I thought was a solo project. I don't mind working with others, that's fine. But suddenly finding out that I have to catch people up and they were thinking I wasn't a team player...that's frustrating.

It's been a few days...

Haven't been on here for a few days. Life got in the way. But I told myself that this blog can be important so I don't want to neglect it.

Today as part of the corporate machine, I had to tell a tenant to take down the paper sign on their glass doors. Apparently this happens a lot all over our property management thing. I don't see any reason why they should, but I know it's my job.

First post: a bit about me

In some ways, I'm just another office worker, not somebody you'd really notice. Administrative assistant, receptionist, secretary, somebody you go through to get to the important people.

I'm tying out bloggerparty because it looks interesting. Right now I think I'll be writing about office work, life in an office, etc. We'll see where it goes from there.
