Well this is an update to my blog about the shooting here in my small Kansas town. I had previously stated that this 24 year old male had gone into his step dads house, and the step dad is also a police officer out here, to retrieve something, and upon entering the house he claimed that there was a black man wearing a white t-shirt robbing his step dads house. He also stated that this man had shot him in the shoulder and then ran out of the house, leaving this 24 year old to get help from a neighbor.

So, it's been a couple of months since I posted anything here. Just been checking in and reading others posts,and commenting here and there.

Just seems like time has gotten away from me lately, and I dont do a whole lot except work.

I finally got out and enjoyed myself Friday night. I haven't done a whole lot of anything this summer so far. Just working and thats about it.
It has been almost two years since I went to a concert, my element as I tell everyone.

Well, most of you who read my blogs, know that I live in a small town. Those of you that live in a small town also, know that not much happens in the way of crimes. I mean you have your occasional thefts from someones car, or barn, or someone is missing cattle, or a horse. Mostly here it tends to be DUI's and an occasional drug bust...yes even out here away from the city we have dealers. Nothing exciting.

Well, it never ceases to amaze me that people just haven't gotten the clue that no matter where you are , where go, and even what you say, wispering or not, it will be viewed, and heard. Big brother is watching, and yes, now, listening.

So, are you going on a vacation this summer? I think the new thing families are doing this summer because of rising gasoline costs, are having a staycation as they are calling it.
A stay-cation is where you take your vacation, but your just staying at home lounging, or doing whatever at home. Gee, seems like that's nothing new to me, that's how I spend my vacations anyway.

Well in my neck of the woods, it's that time of year where we offically kick off summer with our local radio station, 98.9 The Rock.
Yes, today is ROCKFEST Day. This is where we get 15 bands, on two stages, with a sold out crowd of 50,000 people, that gather in Kansas City's Liberty Memorial Park, which is just up from the downtown area.

Well, here we go again. Another story of spoiled little rich kids and the parents who raised them.
Tell ya what, this one really has me in a state of awe, and I dont mean that in a good way.
This spoiled little brat of a kid, Nick Hogan, who is 17 and will turn 18 on July 27,is whining like a little bitch, because his cell that he was sentenced eight months to, for the car crash he was in back in August, isn't even half the size of his bathroom at home. Can you believe this? So he whined to mommy and daddy to get the attorneys to file a motion to get to spend his time on house arrest until his birthday.

Well I dont know how many of you follow American Idol, I can say that I have watched it every season it's been on.
For the most part, alot of the contestants are not that great, or they are just like everyone else the pop radio stations play. But every now and again, there is that one contestant that just blows me away. Chris Daughtry was one of those in the past seansons. Not only can they sing, but you can tell that they posess such a talent for the music business as in writing, arranging, and it comes so naturally for them, as if they dont even really have to try.

So here I am last night, got dinner done, and ready to watch some tv. Waiting until about eight o'clock to watch this silly little show called "Dont Forget The Lyrics".
Now normally I dont watch this show on a regular basis, as I think it's a little boring and drug out for 30 minutes or an hour, not sure even how long it's on.

Well, it's been three weeks since my computer shot craps on me.
It went down once for three weeks until I could get my brother in law to fix it, and then the following week, it went down again, and this time it was serious.

This story is really one of those unbelievable stories for me. But you know, in this day and age, nothing surprises me anymore.

Seems as if this pastor from New York, Reverend Craig Rhodenizer, was missing for 36 hours before being found in an Ohio strip club.

Well, our newest member of the family, Ringo, who is a Jack Russell Terrier is proving to be a handfull.
I have practiced lots of patience and mabey someday it will pay off. One can only hope.
I am trying to keep him from biting everything and everyone in sight, as well as potty train him, and I dont know, but I think I am failing miserably. But then thats where the patience comes in right? Lord I hope so.

I cannot believe the story I have heard today about this little girl who is 10 years old, and dying of brain cancer. Her last dying wish is to see her father.

Sounds easy, but it's not. This little girls father is in prison in South Dakota on meth charges.

Well, here we go again. I thought I said no more, but apparently that wasn't being taken seriously.
As much as I tried to not have this happen again, it did.
Yes, we have a new puppy. He is a six week old Jack Russel Terrier. The best part is that he was free.
