bitter waitress

don't get me wrong, i liked my job as a waitress, well kind of. some of the customers were nice, others were just jerks. the tips were good, some of the time. and the hours weren't always bad. unless of cours i had to pull one of my famous double shifts, from morning until night. it was especially hard during my pregnancy. and it didn't help when my boss forgot to mention that there was a wrestling conference in town, and i had to work from noon until closing, by myself. did i mention the drunk guys who hit on me, or the crazy guy who stalked me and watched me work from right outside, in the rain!!! or maybe i should mention the baked potatoes that were thrown, or getting yelled at by my boss, because i didn't pour the ketchup the right way!?! but after 3 years, i'm sure that there were a couple good memories. i just can't think of any right off hand.

LOL

Awww I feel for you. I waitressed at a resteraunt/bar for 2 years and was just like you. The owner of the joint was a good friend of mine but still sometimes she just deserved a good slap. Sometimes it was great and other times it sucked more than anything ever sucked before. I have to say all in all that it was a great learning experience, a good way to practice interacting with other people of every race, age, sex and attitude! Perhaps blogging will help you keep track of the good times you have waitressing as well as the bad. Remember...Be friendly, not familiar LOL (little waitressing tip)

I feel ya.

I worked the midnight shift at Denny's for a while. You're right - some customers are so nice and just when you think you like your job, BAM! Some asshole(s) walk in and screw it all up.

Save a horse, ride a cowboy!!!
