'Big Phil' passes his first big test with Chelsea

Luiz Felipe Scolari's first big Premiership test is in the books, and the Brazilian tactician passed with flying colors.A hard-fought 1-1 draw against the hated Red Devils probably did not send every Blues supporter home happy, especially when one considers the fact that the Stamford Bridge side dominated proceedings for great portions of the game despite being a goal down. But Chelsea's well-earned point marks Big Phil's arrival on English soil more so than any stamp on his passport or any of the Londoners' four wins this season.
The draw deals Scolari a massive moral victory over the man who will pose the biggest threat to his chances of success this season, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. When substitute Salomon Kalou leveled things at one apiece, the Scotsman was a mere ten minutes away from ending Chelsea's unbeaten home record at 84 Premier League fixtures.
