"Come join the party! Take a few minutes to answer a simple survey and get paid! It's absolutely free!!!"

I may just be the last kid in the boat but just in case there are a few more suckers out there like me... avoid online surveys! This waste of time and energy should be snubbed out with an iron boot. Here's the catch: you sign up to answer simple surveys with the pretense that with each successful completion you get paid. Most survey sites pay very little per survey if there is no cost (out of pocket from you) for answering a boatload of questoins, such as "are experiencing hair loss?" or "are you suffering from diabetes?". But that's not the clecher. While answering one survey they include enrollment into other online surveys. Join up with them and get paid as well. That's where one of the problems come in. You sign up for another survey then are immediately transported to that site to compete theirs.

So, when you should be finishing one site's survey you're working on another. Then they want to bounce you to another other. Soon you're all over the internet filling out surveys for pennys at a million sites. Lots of cash right? Wrong. Most all of the sites I hit wanted you to complete enough to earn at least twenty dollars before cashing out. So now you've earned five or six buck at a bunch of sites. You've got a small carrot dangling in front of your nose waiting for you to take another nibble. Do you go back to the first site and work towards your payout? Sure if you're stubborn like me. I'll be damned if I'll let that cash go. So what if some of the surveys I took didn't show up on my account. So what if half of them want to give me free stuff if I give them my credit card number and promise to pay a small fee of 10 to 15 bucks each month for a service I don't need. If you want the hassle and a truck lod of spam coming in to your e-mail box be my guest.

There are other sources of cash on the internet but online surveys, in my opinion, are a complete waste of time. Try them at your own risk but don't say I didn't warn you.
