Beware of bogus paypal and ebay emails
Alot of people on the internet are receiving emails from paypal. These emails may say update your account information, your account has been frozen, etc. Bogus emails from Ebay include dispute resolution, etc.
I started receiving these emails about 2 years ago. The first time I received one, I actually bought into it. I clicked the link, and I updated my account information. At the time, I wasn't aware of the paypal scam. I thought it was a legitimate email from PayPal, because it looked like the previous emails they had sent me.
Well, right after Christmas, I started receiving all these charges on my credit card. They were from companies in foreign countries.
In the end, I was able to close out accounts and get it all resolved. But it was a long and painful process.
To this day, I still receive these emails, but I am aware of the situation. There is so much credit card fraud going on, that it's not even funny.
