Last entry was loosely about tech. Today back to News.
I'm guessing that the first few entries will be about where I get my news rather than analysing or discussing news issues.
At least, in this way, you'll be able to understand my train of thought and logic. One of the issues I've noticed in the North American media is how local centric the news is. Both Canadian and American media companies are prone to this fault. For example, a radio station i listen to has a section called 'The World Today,' in a 3 hour segment only 30 mins is genuine world news. The rest is Canadian or American stories with an international flavour. Wouldn't it be a good thing to see what the world thinks of us?
For a more balanced approach on world news, I listen to the BBC, www.bbc.co.uk. For many years, they've been considered the best news website in the world and I for one am a loyal news junkie to this site. Some of the best knowledge comes from BBC radio and the BBC World Service provides a diverse mix of radio editors and commentators giving insight to strange parts of the world, some where people will need to scurry for a map or search with Google.
What do you think about Laura Bush recommending Condoleeza Rice for 2008? Hilary Rodham Clinton vs Rice. Interesting matchup.
