$2.35 Million is a lot of money for a piece of cardboard with a picture on it and thats the amount that was paid for a 1909 Honus Wagner, considerd by some as the best one out of about 60 known to exist, it is in pristine condition. These cards were inserted into a pack of cigarettes at that time - not a good thing in todays world.
Honus Wagner played for the Pittsburg Pirates and was one of the first five players inducted into the hall of fame. His carrer spanned 21 years. The "flying dutchman" is probubly rolling in his grave and wondering were's his percentage of the sale.
