I am happy that my city Madras, got an automatic ticket vending machine in one of the suburban railway station called ‘Mambalam’.

Being the most crowded railway station in the entire network of suburban trains, the authorities chose Mambalam but I heard it is not a hit straightaway among commuters.

A commuter can chose any of the three languages (Tamil, English, Hindi) to operate the vending machine. But Madras is always short of coins ( I wonder where they have all vanished) and this may deter many from using it.

Overall, a welcome development for the highly neglected metropolitan city.
