athletes and streoids
Why do athletes take steroids? They take them to get an edge on the opponent. They want to make it to the next level. In college everyone wants to get to the pros. So, what do they do? They take steroids. The athletes are not caught because the socialist dictators at the NCAA don’t want to spend the money to test for them. The NCAA test for drugs, but they don’t test for steroids because it is too expensive. They spend 20 or 30 dollars on a cheap drug test to look for street drugs like pot, heroine and such. Many college athletes get away with it so they can get to the next level because they are never caught in college. I played with numerous guys in college who took them and ere never caught. Our catcher’s playing weight was over 210 pounds. Now that his career is over he barely weighs 160.
I also had a teammate in high school that was very successful all through college. He got almost half a million dollars to leave college early and play pro. He got caught with steroids before the previous season started. Now he is black listed, and his trade value has diminished because he was not caught in college.
The NCAA takes no blame for the actions of its players. They are too powerful to take the fall for so many of their former players who get in trouble. It would take too much of all the money it takes away from its players to test for steroids. The NCAA is a joke! No one can get things changed because they are too powerful and they cannot be destroyed.
It is not about taking steroids or performance enhancing drugs, but it is bout getting caught. Then when the athlete goes to pro ball they are left high hand dry because the NCAA doss not care about the future of their “student athlete.
