Associated Content Vs. Constant Content: Which Site Is Better To Write For?

I have written for and earned money at both Associated Content (www.associatedcontent.com) and Constant Content (www.constant-content.com). For me, Associated Content works much better, mostly for two reasons. First, I can write pretty much about anything; second, they pay within days after accepting the piece, sometimes even on the same day. So, basically, the way it works is Write - Submit - Wait for approval - Get paid.

Associated Content does not have a payout minimum, so you do not have to wait until you accumulate a certain sum on your account. Their review time has reduced considerably. It is stated on the FAQ page that your article will be reviewed within 2 weeks; today, it normally takes just a couple of days during the week, and a little longer if you have written during the weekend. Also, Associated Content has implemented a page view bonus, so your published articles continue to earn you money as people read them, pretty much like here at Helium. The rates are not very generous, you get only $1.50 for a thousand views, but it is better than nothing, and those pennies do add up. The PV bonus is paid out monthly – a nice additional reward for your writing efforts.

Constant Content works differently. Theoretically, you can write articles about anything you want as well, but if you do, chances are that your work will end up just sitting there, for months and months, with no one buying them. Unlike Associated Content, Constant Content does not purchase your writing, they only showcase your work for potential buyers. If you want to sell stuff you need to check the Requested Content page and write what people want to buy. Usually, I am not at all inspired by the topics I see there.

I had also encountered a picky content buyer who said they wanted movie reviews, so I’d invested time in writing some, but they only bought one of about 8 reviews I had submitted. The rest just kept sitting there. I ended up removing them from the system and selling to a different site.

Yes, you can earn more per article at Constant Content if you get lucky to sell one. However, IF is the key word. Besides, there is a $50 payout threshold, so you will only get paid when you reach it. There is no PV bonus, either.
