It happened again! I get the monitor turned off, and I am all ready to go to bed. I go to brush my teeth, and there is a HUGE spider waiting in my bathtub. I don't know why they like my bathtub so much, but I have killed most of them in there.

The other night, when my daughter was sick, she woke me up. I came downstairs drowsily and got her a drink. As I was heading back up, I noticed that there was the largest wolf spider I'd ever seen, and it was about two inches from where my head just passed by.

The one tonight was quick. I sprayed it with Windex, partially because that's what my mom did, but mostly because I am a sick, sadistic bastard when it comes to spiders. That didn't phase it like I intended, but got it really moving. Not good. Not good at all. It ran, really fast, ALLLLL around the tub, and I tried smashing it several times before I finally got it.

Seeing these suckers with my phobia does not make for a good relaxing way to ease myself to sleep. I can't do this anymore. So, you heard it here. My house is for sale. Cheap. There is a *minor* spider problem, but they do blend so well with the lovely hardwood floors. Must sell due to owner's increasingly frequent panic attacks.

Oh yes. My shoe wanted to shine it's beady little eyes. Thank goodness I don't clean the windows that hard, or there wouldn't be a single one left in my house.

Ew.

I used to rent this old house where the spiders were big enough to hear them coming. Yikes! Fixed my fear of small spiders though.

I know what you mean by

I know what you mean by that, and I wish I didn't. I'm not afraid of small ones anymore. Except for daddy long legs, and that's from a bad experience that could fill 20 years worth of therapy.

I was at summer camp one time and I was walking through the camp with some friends. This was a modern type camp with lots of buildings and structures, and one of the guys pointed out something at the top of one. Right on the soffiting, there was a ball of daddy longlegs the size of a basketball. It was one solid mass of them crawling over each other, and even worse, it was throbbing, like a heart beating. And even worse than that, it wasn't the only one. Suddenly, everywhere I went, I saw these balls, each about basketball size, that were on every single building, with some of the larger buildings having several. My poor little mind has never recovered. So now, I can't even handle seeing one.
