With the new Department of Homeland Security's Policies, is it feasible to think that they are not only tapping phone call and emails, but blogs as well?
Is it really safe to write about anything? Will you draw attention for anti-Bush comments, or each time you mention Al-Queda?
Try typing in the name of our nation's leader and anything related to his demise. Do you think you would draw attention then? How do we know who is reading your blog?
If they are being monitored, what is the criteria to lift a "red flag?" Are we considered activists? Are we being placed on a list of "dissidents?"
Can we say whatever is on our minds in our blogs, or do we risk retribution if we say the wrong thing? Do we really have freedom of speech? Will your blog be used against you in a court of law to imply you are some terrorist threat to the nation, no questions will be asked if the Prez says so.
I feel like I should have the freedom to write what I am compelled to, this freedom is impeded by threat of retribution for typing what is on your mind.
If we are being monitored, why? Can we really be judged by the content we right? Is that fair? After all writings are just thoughts and are thoughts really policeable?
