Are Bloggers Numb? Or They Just Don't Care?

The U.S. military on Saturday announced three more American soldiers had died in an explosion in volatile Diyala province northeast of Baghdad. The deaths raised to 36 the number of Americans killed in Iraq so far this month. At least 3,120 members have died since the Iraq war started in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count.

To say nothing is as much as sanctioning what is taking place in Iraq. American soldiers are sandwiched between rival factions who not only want to kill each other but want to kill Americans too. The soldiers that were killed died in an explosion in volatile Diyala province northeast of Baghdad. The blast occurred as Task Force Lightning soldiers searched for a weapons cache near Baqouba. U.S. and Iraqi forces have battled Sunni insurgents and Shiite militias in Diyala for months. READ THAT AGAIN: U.S. AND IRAQI TROOPS HAVE BATTLED ...... BOTH ..... SUNNI INSURGENTS AND......SHIITE MILITIAS!!!!!!!!!
I say let the Sunnis and Shiites battle it out for themselves. We don't need our soldiers dying for their lame cause. How is it any different than the Catholics and Protestants killing each other in Northern Ireland. American forces didn't step in. And yet, things have been quiet in Ireland because the PEOPLE in IRELAND decided they wanted peace.

The big shots in the military need to earn medals and badges. Halliburtons needs to make more money so their stock stays high.
They were barely hanging on before the Iraq War. And Bush just wants to hang onto his own stubborness.

The three soldiers who died have families. These families are about to realize their worse fears. A military chaplain will walk up their driveway and deliver the sad news. Imagine that. How can bloggers stay quiet when people have to suffer the loss of their loved ones because our military keeps them in harm's way.
We are trapped rabbits, caught between the snares of two rival factions. Let Iraqi's settle their differences and when things settle down, then we can help rebuild the mess we made of their country.
