Annoying Blog Site....

ModelMom's picture

I am so annoyed right now.....I write in two separate blogs, and unlike, Bloggerparty, my other site is always crashing, or so it seems. I never have any problems getting on here to do my thing, but more often than not, my other site just doesn't come up...arrrrgh! So irritating! I may just have to combine my blogs and just hang out here from now on!

I guess

they need downtime for upgrading or whatever. It is frustrating - but you can always write your blog in Word or something and then when all is well, transfer across. That way you don't "waste" time.

Tottie...

that is a great idea, thank you! I will start writing in Word....that'll help for those days when I have no inspiration whatsoever....then I can just go to Word and pick out something I wrote on a "good" day! :-)

Exactly what I do

I always write my blogs in Word. It's cool cuz it checks your spelling and it's easy to re-read them. Sometimes I have a lot on my mind so I'll wirte two or three blogs in a day. It is great cuz on day's I am super busy, or not inspired, I still have something quality (in my opinion) to post. Also, I have found that it makes transfering blogs to other sites much easier!

Composing blogs in Word

I have found it necessary to save the file in Text mode (.txt) before cutting and pasting it into Bloggerparty. If I use Microsoft Word (.doc) format, there are certain characters that, in conversion to .html, frequently get messed up. The most annoying is the "closed quotes" punctuation mark, which gets translated into double question marks, which I later have to find and fix. I've not had any trouble with this since saving the file as .txt.

thanks o ceallagh!

i'll keep that in mind for when i'm composing my docs. :-)
