The News Service for the Intellectually Impaired informs a curious public that nine Supreme Court judges have sided with former model and actress Anna Nicole Smith in her right to continue to fight for a share of her late husband’s huge estate. Howard Marshall II was one of the wealthiest men in Texas, and his assets were valued at $1.6 billion dollars at the time of his death in August of 1995. He was 89 years old when he married the topless dancer who was 63 years his junior.

The justices reversed a ruling by the Ninth US Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco and decided that federal bankruptcy courts have jurisdiction and can consider Smith’s claims. Also known as Vicky Lynn Marshall, Anna Nicole has been suing for half of her husband’s oil money, which she wears he promised her through the establishment of a trust. She was not named as a beneficiary in Marshall’s will and the entire estate went to Marshall’s son, E. Pierce Marshall.

To date, Smith has not received any money from her late husband’s estate. No one close to the actress claims that when one marries for money one earns every penny. News sources also state that the former Playboy centerfold is very busy these days what with health spa ads and making sure that her reputation as a well meaning starlet/gold-digger is always respected and carefully guarded.
