Anger...

It's easy to feel, and can happen in an instant...but we all know that it's not good for us. We cannot control everything negative that happens in life, but we can try and lessen our anger toward it. By conciously practising the following points, you will begin to shift in your expression of anger...
-Try and distract yourself, by not constantly thinking or dwelling on the problem or irritation. Do something that takes your mind of it, like a different activity.
-Keep a reminder that reminds you to calm down, maybe something written down that you can look at, or a picture/photo that you can focus on. In the heat of the moment, you need to be able to take a step back.
-Respond with a smile, if someone is really irritating you! As grinning stems the anger, and a neutral state will help you to react with a level head.
-Ask yourself "Does it really matter?" This will help you to see 'the bigger picture', and put things into perspective by letting the trivial and petty things go.
