An Indian Summer
It is a beautiful day again in my corner of France. The sun is shining on "our" valley and as I look out of the window the sunlight is bouncing off the beautiful scarlet, oranges and golds of the vine which covers our home. Some days I really wish I was able to paint the beautiful things I see around me.
My cupboards are full of jars of the various jams, chutneys and pickles that I have made from the fruit and vegetables that our garden produced this year. The wood that we shall need when winter really comes is ordered. The heating oil will need to be ordered next week. We are preparing for winter and yet the weather seems more like Spring. Outside it is twenty degrees centigrade, very pleasantly warm.
I hope that this Indian Summer means that winter will be short.
