the turkish people are truly an example for the islamic nations and societies throughout the world.they are spo very progressive and deep rooted in democracy and secularizm that due to the vey reason that the wife of abdulla cul wears the head scarf they had fears that the family is too islamic to be the first family of the republic.in anticipation of the fears that their democratic and secular credentials would be meddled with and put to risk the country had to go through one more election only when after the elections mr gul was elected to be the president was the way to be the fitrst family of the turkish republic cleared for the guls.and that too with the comments"the army would be watching mr gul and all his actions closely." from the chief of the army.
now that is what has to be the case with every islamic society.it has to be progressive democratic and secular to the very core of its existence.so very much alert and vibrant that the lightest indication of going islamic should be inherently unacceptable from the very core of the existence of the society.
that theyshould be ready to take to the streets and go to ballot to ensure the sanctity of secularistic progressiveness.freedom o speech and expression freedom of religion and belief and other civil liberties should not only be on paper but put in action in the day to day life.
why is it that turkey though a islamic state is so very different from the rest of the islamic states.is it becauase it ias the last end of europe with bulgaria and greece on its werstern side and so the european or western influence is so so very strong the impact of liberty civility rationalizm richness and progress are so deep that turkey refutes to be influenced by the wave of extremist islam throughout the world
perhaps it has even become an example to the british and the french and the germans
but then it is even the beginning of asia it shares its eastern borders with iraq syria iran and armenia the troubled part of the world that is asia with islamic extremizm povertyy illeteracy unstability conventionalizm disparity superstition and so forth and so on .
so on the one hand is europe and on the other hand is asia and turkey is the meeting point of europe and asia. it could had been influenced by any one part any one wave of life style and thought. it chose to accept the european one and you see the diffrence.
it is obvious and clear turkey enjoys an excellent standard of living and lifestyle whereas most parts of islamic asia face poverty and destruction.
theres a lesson to be learnt. it is you who decides wich way to go no one forces it on you. you can choose good or bad liberty or extremizm prosperity orv destruction .
the creator has kept it to be so. he allows individuals groups and nations to choose and then they face consequnces accordingly
it also brings us to avery important conclusion.the state that is the legislature the army the constitution the press and the people have to be alert and ensure in every way that extremists like hitler mussolini saddam hussein, khomenis,sharia law supporters and hindu extremists have to be denied the reigns of power for their being in power brings catastrophic resuts.
democracy is not mobocracy, the state cannot accepy all that a mob asks for. for that would lead to anarchy, chaos, and indescepline
the rule of law, democracy, secularizm and progressive attitude have to prevail.
