An always lying mother

Common sense tells us that lying is a bad habit. If you tell things that are not true, people will hate you. They don't think you are trust worthy. Then you will not be able to make any real friends. But in some circumstances, you are forced to hide the truth or you will be in trouble. Take Hong Kong as example, one or two critics who had been anchors at certain radio told the truth of some Government's controversial policies, and as a result they were dismissed from they job abruptly. And when I reflect on some cases profoundly, I would conclude that lying is not always a bad thing.

In some Asian countries where social support from Government is very little, quite a number of families are not able to make ends meet even the parents try to work hard day and night. Food is always not enough for every one. In one of such families, the mother gave her share to her skinny little son. and said "Take the food. I am not hungry."

One day, when the boy was 7 years old, the hard working mother brought home a small fish. She cooked the fish and gave it the the boy. She told him to take the fish in order to replenish the nutrition needed to keep him healthy. The boy asked his mother to share the fish with him. But his mother said: "Oh, I hate fish!" After enjoying the fish, the boy laid down the remains and went out to meet his friends. Meanwhile, the mother started to lick on bits of flesh left on the bones greedily .

When the boy became a high school student, his mother worked so hard that after her daytime job, she offered helps for wealthy neighbours to handle all kinds of chores, which included repairing expensive clothes with needle and threads. One freezing winter night, the boy waked up. He found his mother working under an oil lamp. The boy asked her why she stayed awake at the mid of the night and reminded her she had to start working as a sanitary worker early next morning. Her reply was "I am not sleepy, I am appreciating my new garment."

On the day the boy took an important open examination which determined whether his would be qualified to work as a government officer, the mother lingered around the exits of the exam hall. She rushed to her son the first minute he appeared at one of the exits and gave him a bottle of drink. She beckoned him to drink and relax after spending so much energy in the exam. The boy, who knew his mother had been waiting for hours, looked at his mother thoughfully. He asked her to drink the most expensive beverage she could afford. But her reply was: "Take it, I 've had four bottles of it."

As the mother's age reached 97, she got ill and laid in bed breathing weakly. The boy and his wife, and his children went to the hospital to see her. When she saw them she whispered with trembling voice just loud enough to hear : " Oh, I feel so comfortable, don't worry." Then she closed her eyes forever a few minutes after meeting her beloved son and grand children.

Great story. You have part of it repeating twice, though.
I like the pictures, too, in all of your blogs.

absent minded

I am always an absent minded fellow. If you read my work, you will find many spelling mistakes and grammatical errors. I am trying my best to improve my writing. Just give me some more time.
