AMERICAN IDOL MADNESS: Who's Going Home THIS WEEK?!?

Submitted by myspaceoryours on March 28, 2006 - 9:25pm.

I was sooo disappointed with tonight's performances! :(

Here's a quick recap of the highlights and lowlights of "Songs of the 21st Century" night:

MY FAVORITES

Mandisa...aka Mandiva
She was GREAT! I loved her song choice (Shackles by Mary Mary) and her performance was spectacular. But the judges didn't quite agree... they called it indulgent and Paula (by the way, she was drunk again) could only say something about "a new religion" and the "Church of Mandisa".... Yeah, THAT'S why she chose to perform that song... *sigh* Hollywood.

Elliot Yamin
I know he isn't exactly the best-looking guy in the competition... but he is definitely one of the MOST talented. I loved his song choice (I Don't Want To Be by Gavin DeGraw) and his vocal. His performance was a great way to end the night.

Bucky Covington
I like Bucky more every week. Tonight he sang a country song (sorry, I don't remember the name -- it was Tim McGraw, I think) and did REALLY well. I just wish he was more confident onstage and sang like he actually believed in himself.

ALL THE REST

Ace Young - Didn't impress me...

Paris Bennett - Simon was right about her... it was like watching a little girl trying to act like Beyonce. Paris Bennett has zero sex appeal...it just didn't work. Plus, she annoys me...

Katharine McPhee - I liked her song (Christina Aguilera) but WHAT WAS SHE WEARING???

Taylor Hicks - I liked his song as well... but it wasn't his best performance and I missed seeing him move around onstage.

Lisa Tucker - Completely forgettable...

Chris Daughtry - He did talk about the whole "Live rip-off" controversy... but watching him perform was like seeing a re-run of everyone of his past performances...

Who am I forgetting? Oh yeah...

Kellie Pickler - Eh... She sang a dopey country song... and didn't seem as "dumb" as before... I don't know if she'll be the one to go home tomorrow though.

My money is on Lisa Tucker...

You beat me to it! Oh my... I was disapointed as well. I just haven't had the chance to write on it yet because I am still shaking my head.

ALOT of my thoughts are with you hun... By the time Ace was done, I was yelling through my house "SOUND CHECK" something had to be wrong with the microphone, speakers, stage, my damn T.V something!!!!

Kellie proved my point on the Ellie May post I wrote today... "Suds in a Tub"???????????

I don't what was going on with everyone tonight... but I almost wished I hadn't watched it. You'd think by now they'd realize how serious it was... but a lot of their performances just seemed...lazy.

Oh well... next week :)

After tonight's performances, I'm SURE you could do a better job ;-) And I don't even know what your singing voice is like... but at least you'd have more energy than what I saw onstage tonight :-/

Yeah, my money is on Lisa (well, not my real money... but I'd bet my Blogger Party points) ;-)

That song... what was she thinking? If Lisa doesn't go home... then I want Kellie to go home. She's driving me crazy... that girl needs to be sent back to whatever farm she came from...

Lisa, Ace and McPhee are on the chopping block. All three don't really impress me. I usually refill my drink while Lisa is singing. Ace is kinda cute but he doen't have "it". We've seen 100 contestents like him. And there's too many talented guys right now for him to stick around. McPhee's attire was terrible. I know the stylists pick it out, but come on!
I agree with Tamiya, there isn't anybody I'm crazy about this season. I do favor Chris & Bucky though.

Your predictions were right on! (Well, so was mine -- Lisa Tucker went home)... ;-)
I agree... Ace doesn't really do anything for me... and Katharine McPhee, well I like her, but her fashion style is horrible... bleh...:P
