American Idol: Chris Daughtry CONSPIRACY

Submitted by realitycheck on May 11, 2006 - 2:51pm.
It was on the news last night that there have been yearly mistakes in vote counting made. According to MSN, Clay Aiken had actually won over Reuben by 30,000 yet Ryan fumbled the #'s 3 times during that finale. During the Fantasia finally, phone lines were down in parts of the US. Ad in the Bo Bice finally, a wrong number appeared under Bice’s photo. When people called the number they were directed to an American Idol Chat Line, not anyplace where a vote could be placed.

Scandalous rumors are rapidly spreading about A.I being B.S!

RUMOR 1: Chris received too many calls and the system was overloaded.

RUMOR 2: Simon and McPhee have something going on. Many AI viewers say that they didn’t like her at all from the get go. Why has she made it this far?

RUMOR 3: Ratings, ratings, ratings. Admit it or not, the United States is buzzing American Idol today. This is a ploy to get even more people to watch the finally. This may also be a ploy to get more people to get involved in a recount. Hmmm…

RUMOR 4: Jewish Population Petitions. Dozens of Vote for Elliot, Don’t Vote for Chris petitions are circulating. These petitions state that any member of the Jewish community should vote for Elliot because he too is Jewish. Could this be enough pull?

RUMOR 5: It is simply not possible for them to have taken all of the votes in the allotted time frame – 2 hours. If the lines are busy and people can’t get through, how can an accurate vote count be determined?

So what can you do? Well, if you feel that Chris was given the boot unfairly you can sign a petition. Both of the following petitions have over 17,000 votes on them. These will be sent directly to the shows producer.

This is a copy of the petition found on www.petitiononline.com:
To: American Idol and FOX
Hello Chris Daughtry Fans! This petition is from the hearts of us. We feel that Chris was wrongly kicked off of American Idol on May 10th, 2006. We, the fans of Chris Daughtry, demand American Idol and Fox to do a Recount on the Votes. Ask anyone who they thought was going to win American Idol this year, and 90\% of them would say CHRIS DAUGHTRY. We are shocked and saddened that this has happened. This is a HUGE mistake. Recount the votes American Idol, Recount the votes Fox. You will be greatly surprised that Chris Daughtry should have remained in the competition. If a Recount is not done, with the signatures from all of the Chris Daughtry Fans demanding one, it will only PROVE, that this show is rigged. Please, give us a recount and bring Chris back. HE IS OUR AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!! If you agree with this petition, PLEASE, the Fans urge you to sign it and pass it along to anyone you know who LOVES Chris as much as we do. WE LOVE YOU CHRIS, OUR AMERICAN IDOL!! AND WE WILL FIGHT FOR YOU TO BE THE OFFICIAL AMERICAN IDOL!!!
Sincerely,
The Undersigned

...for the very reasons contained in the above post along with others, pertaining to the whole 'rigging' of it all~ one reason people enjoy that show is? If the person they like happens to 'make' it, then they can say in the back of their mind, 'I called in, and I helped make him/her a star.', lacing and cementing that thought with a subconscious, personal pride~ prime example: Kelly Clarkson. If that girl's songs suck from here on out, it won't matter because she will always, always have a following for being known as not only the first American Idol to win, but it was the first time voting on such a large magnitude was done like that. The Underwood chick will be ok for a time, because her music was geared toward the country/western venue. Having actual talent helps too.

.....nothing wrong with that, but the above is a classic reason why it's hard to take that sort of show seriously: You wonder, 'WHY did that person make it, who clearly has the personality and talent of an arm pit, when the actual one with some kind of talent gets the proverbial boot?' American Idol gives the illusion of being 'of the people', when it's clearly 'show me the money!!!!'...... but Chris will be fine......it was stated on Ryan Seacrest's radio show the next morning that he had an offer to front some high profile band. If he doesn't do that, he can still clearly do a cd of his own, and because the public actually endeared him, he'll be able to pull off a few more minutes of fame than 15.

P.S. Hey RC~

I just happened to be up, and the Weekend Today show just did a story about what you posted, RC~ and it pretty much combined what you said, with what I said~

.....yep, something was wrong, but AT&T and the so called 'independent' phone deal they use said the votes were according, but they said Chris will be fine....public endearment, at its finest, and honestly? Even though I cannot stand that show and have never seen more than 5 minutes of it at any given time, I've dealt with the bidness enough to know that he was pretty much anally tickled, and not in a pleasing way.

Like I said, it's all rigged in some way, which is basically sad for not only those who follow that show as a hopeful or a fan, but those who have been wronged by the so called 'system', ya know what I mean?

Oh, wow!

Thanks for the info Tammy! I do agree with you, I mean, every show is ultimately about RATINGS. People often forget that. Like have you ever watched one of those tv specials about reality tv shows and what really happens behind the scenes? Basically, the producers "cause" cartain things to happen, which would make the show far from "reality". I doubt AI is much different. Honestly, I used to love it. I would watch it religiously. Then , this season, I kinda gave up. I think many people have. It's too drawn out, too many questions, not really that great of singers.

hiya there brenna~

HEY RC~ I don't know how old you are, and I'm pretty sure I have stretch marks older than you~ heh BUT?????????? The first Survivor, a guy named Richard Hatch won it~ now, that guy got a million bucks. Of course, we all know that after taxes, he'd end up with around 600 to 700,000 of it. Well, the dilrod never claimed it on his taxes, if you never kept up with it.

NOW, the whole thing with THAT, coupled with CBS is a mystery, yet.........

He never claimed it on his taxes, so the IRS tries to nail him in a court of law.

Follow me here...........

He's taken to court. It comes out during court THAT, or so he claims, CBS said they'd give him the mil, and pay his taxes on it.

Here's the reason:

Supposedly, and this is from Richard Hatch, his lawyers and a couple of other sources, that.........

One night, he caught a couple of people cheating~ they were supposed to be going without food, unless they caught it, or dug it out of their anus areas. He happened to stumble upon a situation where 2 other contestants were getting someone on the 'outside' to sneak some grub, and Hatch went to the producers and said someone was cheating.

They, (CBS) THEN in turn, said it needed to be hush-hush (ratings, you know how it goes~), and if he didn't spill the beans, CBS would take care of any legal fees/taxes pertaining to the million dollar winning, if he won it. He lost his bout court wise, and nothing was ever said about it again~ so either CBS took care of it under the table, so to speak~ OR, the defense had one hell of a conspiracy attempt that failed~ and/or both.

I had an uncle that was a big-wig (through an old ancient family marriage), big time Atlanta country/western radio DJ guy, and you would NOT believe the pay off shit they'd send him right after the CMA ballots came in the mail.

One music company (I won't mention the name) sent him this one particular time, a diamond encrusted Rolex, and that was just for his vote of a particular artist.....ONE vote for a particular artist. Trips, cash, you name it~ he gave up on it because he couldn't hack the hypocrisy of it all. THAT is what ruins it for the 'good' one, ya know what I mean?

I remember that whole thing

Hi Tammy! Glad to have ya back! For the record I am 25. I don't have strech marks yet...I got lucky with my first son!

Wow! I didn't know all THAT about survivor! That's great gossip! What I did know is that there were people eating and all that. That's crazy! I mean, WTF? What's the point of having a show called "Survivor" if people are not braving the elements? I was thinking about the whole aurvivor thing and Ithe more I look at it, the more of a scam it is. Like last night I was noticing that all the girls have shaved legs daily. Now, I can't speak for every woman, but I can say that if I went three days without shaving...well, it wouldn't be a pretty picture. In addition, do they get their eyebrows waxed during the show? I get mine done once a month and by the time that month is up, they need it! Just stupid stuff like that makes me feel almost "cheated" as a viewer. But as you and I have both pointed out, obviously if they pitched the show as what it really is, it'd have zero viewers; "Watch Survivor! Our contestants battle for a million dollars while being on an island with only fish, crab, slugs and Peanut Butter and Jelly! Watch the contestants battle the weather with only the clothes on their backs...and some blankets and pillows from CBS..."
