Okay, not exactly, but who knows how these things work?

Last week, I reported that famous Thetans, Cruise and Holmes (sounds like a Vaudevillian comedy duo, doesn't it?), are set to marry. Today, I learned that plans are in the works for them to tie the knot at a famous Medieval castle near Rome.

According to Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, the pair will host a party at Bracciano's Castello Odescalchi in Rome on November 16 and will wed there the next day. The reports have not been verified, as Cruise and Holmes are remaining quieter than a Scientologist giving birth, and other locations have been mentioned. In fact, I have a feeling they may have planted this story specifically to throw off the paparazzi.

In more "down to earth" news -- though still weird -- Christopher Walken will portray rocker, Ozzy Osbourne, in a cameo for the film adaptation of Motley Crue's Dirt, the backstory of their exploits as a touring metal band. Val Kilmer will also show up as David Lee Roth. The Crue, however, will be played by unknowns, according to former frontman, Vince Neil.

I guess Walken kind of looks like Osbourne, but he definitely has the same speech pattern. Think about it.

Wow. I can't picture Walken as Ozzy. I guess I'd have to see it.

They are possibly making a movie about Freddie Mercury too. I think Christian Bale should play him.

They Have the Same Speech Patterns

When you think about it. That Capt. Kirk dramatic pause-littered slur. Other than that, I guess I can see the resemblance, though it's not very pronounced. It'll be interesting to see, if nothing else.

Christian Bale would probably make a good Mercury, though he's a bit big. David Cross would actually make a good Mercury -- well, maybe not good, but he looks more like him than most anyone that comes to mind right now.

Ha! I had to make sure I

Ha! I had to make sure I was thinking of the right actor. Sure enough, the little bald dude that was in Men in Black and Mr. Show showed up. I see no resemblance to Freddie Mercury, but I'm laughing my butt off at the thought. That would turn out a hundred different kinds of wrong (because of Cross's own wonky sense of humor), and be SOOO good in the process.

I watched "Blast From the Past" recently. So it's naturally getting confused in my brain. I am trying to picture Ozzy in a bunker, dressed in vintage clothing, dancing with Sissy Spacek. What a weird image.

Yeah, that's David Cross. I'm not so sure he really looks like him, he just crossed my mind when you mentioned Freddy Mercury. Prolly because I've been getting into the Arrested Development reruns on G4 lately. He reminds me of Mercury ca. "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" video.
