Besides The acupuncture can be used in headache and migraine, dental pain and low back pain. The treatment can also be used for nausea i.e. early morning sickness, post-anesthetic which caused by using of powerful anti cancer drugs.

It can be said the Acupuncture is largely a safe treatment. But you should go to a registered acupuncturist whose premises have been inspected and registered for the purposes of providing acupuncture by their local health authority. It means you should be given disposable acupuncture needles for your treatment and there will be no danger of cross infection occurring between patients so you will not run the risk of picking of diseases like hepatitis. Besides, if you are anti coagulants i.e. drugs that thin the blood, it is advisable to not to go to treatment of acupuncture. If the acupuncturist is proposing to use an indwelling needle that may be left in place for a few days, then it might exposure you to an increase risk of infection and is not a good idea.
