A Truth is as True as a Straight Line Straight -Raja sir.

Is there such a truth as there is a straight line in nature?
First of all, there is no straight line, for every straight line is actually a curve. Lines appear to be straight but they are not. If you start drawing a line from a particular point and keep on moving straight, one day you will definitely reach the same point whence you had started.
Truth is believed to be truth until a new truth replaces it. For years, the past scientists had a belief that there were mountains of crystal on moon, but now we know that it is not so. The things which we believe in through established values become our present truths. There is no absolute truth.
J.S.Mill has said,”We can never catch the bird of truth.” His saying is full of wisdom because we get only particles of truth. There is an old story related to it:
A scholar set out to catch the bird of truth. He saw the bird flying over a cliff. He was determined that, reaching on top of that cliff, he would be able to catch that bird. He started cutting the steps in the hard rock and began to climb up. It took him many years to carve the rock to make steps, and finally he reached on top of the mountain. He was shocked to see that there was another cliff standing high, which was not visible from his vantage point at the bottom of the cliff. Undismayed, he began his climb again. In this way, he spent all his life in cutting the steps to reach on top to catch the bird of truth.
Finally, he reached on top but, unfortunately, he had only a few breaths left. Before his death, he uttered, “We can never catch the bird of truth but whosoever tries to do so will have to climb my steps.” He died, and a feather of the bird of truth dropped down onto his chest. The wisdom is that we can never say that there is any absolute truth. If we gain new knowledge, it is supported by the past knowledge like the steps created by the scholar for the posterity to climb on them.
