As I read an entry onSharon Hurley Hall's blog titled [Alphabet Soup]
, I got an idea of producing something by picking up words beginning with the letters A to Z from a dictionary. Of course my writing can never be compared to the maestros in Writingup, but I like to mess with text. So I made up a short story and posted it here.

A is for arrive, airport
B is for bus
C is cold
D is for day
With ABCD I made a sentence like this
Arrived at the airport by bus on a cold day, a young man named Edward was taking a trip to North Califonia.

E is for Edward
F is for follow
G is for group of passengers
H is for heading
With EFGH I made such a sentence
Edward followed groups of passengers heading to the departure exit.

I is inside
J is the jet plane
K is kidnap
L is leader
With IJKL I made some other sentences
Hours later, inside the jet plane, he heard some one shouted for help. "I am a victim kidnapped by a group of gangsters; the one sitting there is the leader of the criminals." A girl sitting in a nearby column screamed. She pointed at a woman in the front row.

M is motherly
N is north
O is overwhelm
P is programme
With MNOP I came up with
The one being pleaded as the gangster's leader looked like a motherly old lady. She muttered gently, "We are going to North California, to meet a psychiatrist. My grand daughter is having psychic illness. She is overwhelmed with weird imaginations. Please forgive her abnormal manner. “Everybody on the plane seemed to believe the old woman's explanation. But Edward who was a software programmer and a detective story fan spotted something worth to be dubious about.

Q is quietly
R is remain
S is sanctuary
T is tail
U is ulterior
Here are some more sentences
There were two women sitting next to the girl who shouted minutes ago, one on her right, the other on her left. One of them seemed to force the girl to remain in her seat and keep silent. The other one seemed to have something solid and sharp hidden under one of her sleeves. She was pointing the hidden object at the girl's waist. "The girl may need sanctuary, I must find out the truth." Edward thought. So he tailed an air hostess to the front of the plane quietly. He told her that there must be certain ulterior truth behind the shouting event.

V is virile
W is wiggle
X is withhold
Y is yacht
Z is zap
Finally two more paragraphs
Soon Edward's message was passed to the pilot and most of the air line workers. Some strong guys among the aircrew approached to the seats near the girl without being noticed. Suddenly they snatched the women sitting next to her and the motherly looking old woman. As the suspects struggled, Edward noticed that they were actually virile fellows. They showed their masculine features as their wigs wiggled and fell on the floor.

The criminal refused to answer any question and said they would withhold all information before the arrival of any police officer. The girl claimed she was kidnapped while having fun on a yacht with her school mates. The criminals zapped some of her friends and rushed her to a truck and she was knocked out one or two days ago. She said that they planed to ask her father to pay a ransom of about 500 thousand dollars. And they were going to kill her in the end because she was able to recognize all of the kidnappers.

Someday I might write a novel out of the above framework.

    Chinese language section

[湯] which you find on the picture with my logo means [soup]
Its pronounciation is [tang]
One or two centuries ago, people in China might use this word for hot water.
Chinese living in southern part of China usually make soup by cooking a mixture of water, vegetable and some meat.
The soup is much plianer and lighter than those made by cooks from USA or Europe.
But some Chinese from the northern part of the mainland do make creamy soup which is usually called [羹].

Let look at the work of a Chinese artist Chen Shu Fen
