So one of my housemates Mary* has been denying for approximately a month now that she enjoys Les* and his company. Mary has however been getting on the nerves of the entire house with stories of text messages, phones calls and visits from Les. By now no one in the house can honestly defend her enthusiasm and she is becoming to be unable to as well.

Backing the story up about a month or so ago Mary and Les went on a date. Mary became quite frustrated in trying to have free time in common with Les, and after the date arrived home even more so.

Now here is my question: is she only attracted to the attention that les seems always willing to give, or could there actually be something between the two.

Personally from what I've heard I am not convinced so the recent increased amounts of time spent together are just going to hurt them both. I don't know what to say or do.
