I found this quote on the internet, but it didn't say who said it.
But look at it, I realized that it is so true. In the course of my life, I am sure that I have said hurtful things. Maybe not even intentionally, but it has happened.
And I have had hurtful things said to me. I may forget exactly what was said, I may forget exactly how it happened, but I don't forget how I felt.
I try to make it a point to not hurt peoples feelings. But some people are more sensitive than others. I think that I am.
Alot of hurt can come from a spouse or parent. Sometimes, parents can really damage their children by things that they may say to them when they are children. To the parent, it might not be a big deal, but it can haunt the child for life.
A spouse can hurt another spouse by careless comments or by actions too. Alot of hurt comes from a man by checking out other women. Alot of hurt can come from a woman with a "sharp" tongue.
We as people need to think before we speak or act. And we need to consider other people's feelings and not be careless. Life is short enough as it is, and alot of us are already living with regrets. So many relationships, be it parent and child, husband and wife, brother and sister, could be saved if people just THINK before they speak or act.
