A Nightmare On My Street

I wonder if most of us dream of actually being terrorized by the one and only master of the dream realm, Mr. Fred Krueger.

I have had a few dreams before of Freddy Krueger and they were somewhat scary. I believe that I've only had four dreams so far and the last one happened about a week and a half ago.

That last dream had to be the scariest by far. I don't particularly remember the Krueger dreams. There was one where I had an image on my computer screen of a movie screenshot of Total Recall I believe. In my dream, Fred Krueger was no the image on the screen. It was a still shot, but I can see him looking at me and laughing methodically. Then he chased me with a truck.

But the latest Krueger dream was much different. I was inside the Elm Street house. It looked terrible, everything look old and stale and smelled like burnt wood.

I heard a crazy laugh behind me but I couldn't see anything. I knew right away that it was Freddy himself. I saw his shadow pop out behind me and I gunned it down the long hall.

All of the sudden I knew that I was asleep and needed to wake up. I had someone on the waking realm ready to wake me up. I believe I had a dream within a dream because I knew that I was dreaming.

Well, Freddy caught up to me and was about to attack me when I actually woke up. It felt so real and it spooked me. But, I wanted to go back to sleep to continue the dream. I don't know why, but I wanted to see how it ended. Of course, all that happened was I dreamed something else that I didn't remember when I woke up.

That was my creepy dream of Fred Krueger. Anyone else have a Freddy Krueger dream? I heard of one person who dreamed of Freddy Krueger and never actually seen the movies. Now that's strange. How can someone dream of Krueger without watching the movies? It could be that that person must have heard of Freddy from a third person and just put two and two together. Things that make you go, "Hmmm?"

I've had one dream with Freddie Krueger in it,...

but I also had Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock in it, and they took care of Freddie for me. It was a weird dream; I woke up laughing, which is rare.

Weird

That's funny having the Star Trek people to battle the Fredster. That must have been a cool dream.

Actually, it was a cool dream,...

the only truly scary dreams I ever seem to have involve zombies or sudden death things such as bombs or explosions or crashes. This one I enjoyed.

Zombies

I've had plenty of zombie dreams. The scariest dream I have ever had was something was keeping me from waking up in real life. I was being forced to drift back to sleep right when I was opening my eyes. I forced myself to wake up and I didn't want to sleep again. I enjoy re-occurring dreams, though. Each one I have is different but take place in the same location.

My goodness, recurring dreams!

I don't seem to have them anymore, but I used to have them, where each dream showed the same thing, only from a different position, and it would progress to a different place each time until, finally, it concluded in some way, and I never had it again. You're the first person who's ever said it happened to them also.

Recurring

I have different recurring dreams that take place in different locations, but the one I dream the most is of a large building. It's either daytime, nighttime or morning. I'm either just passing by it like running, driving by or walking by it.

I also go inside it and the building is totally different. It's more like a skyscraper. There was a ghost investigation that happened there, there was someone chasing me or I was buying some fast food. Some instances I was on the top of the building at night. I go into an elevator but there are no walls to prevent me from falling, but it takes me all the way to the roof. I can keep going, but that building location I was dream. What's yours?

I've had different ones,...

one based on a major fear that still didn't end well, another that was like watching an old style monster from outer space movie that didn't quite end, but was resolved enough for me that I never had it again.

Cool

That's something interesting. Never had alien dreams before.
