A Nation Divided

Well it's official, you've all seen the paper and seen the news, President Bush has Thrown the Veto card onto the table and threw the Bill from Congress back into their faces. And I back it up fully.

I've said it before in other posts and I'll say it again, we can't pull out of this war with the job half finished. If you think that I'm wrong, then you go and tell the families of the thousands of people who died in Iraq that their children dies for nothing!!!

We started this war, and now we have to finish it. If we don't, we'll be sending a message to all of our enemies that's saying, "Our Country is Divided, You guys can win". Not to mention creating a serious injustice to all of those who have died in this war.

When the September 11th attack on the World Trade Center occured, it was the first frontal attack on American Soil since the Revolutionary War. We declared the War of Terror, and now we have to finish it. Otherwise, the war will only come to us, to our homeland. Do you really want to be living in fear, everyday, while our enemies roam our streets because when we pulled out of the war, we left the backdoor into our country with a sign saying, "Come on, Chase us Back"???

All I really have to say is, I know Families of people who have died in the war, and I know that they are proud of what their Sons have done in the fight for our nation. Leave them with that peace of mind, and don't let them think that their Sons died for nothing.

there's been no real plan for, what, four years now, on just what the Bush Administration has wanted to achieve, or how they're going to achieve it. It's a mess, he's a mess, his administration is a mess,... and now they're sending more people and more money over there, with still no plan.

And, of all things, he vetoes this bill because it has other stuff in it, yet he passed the bill that was to protect our shores just before the election which contained a lot of sneaky stuff that was thrown in there at the last minute, including the internet gambling law, that no one wanted to vote against because they didn't want to look like they didn't want to protect our shores.

Phony! Bush was getting his money, getting the increase in troops, but he doesn't want to put a timetable on when the troops need to be withdrawn. What he doesn't realize is, just like he did, as soon as the next person is elected, and let's face it, it's going to be a Democrat, they can change whatever they wish to because he'll be gone.

These guys try to be slick; let me pass something that will go into the terms of other president's terms so we can dominate them. Yeah, right.

To say the other side isn't supporting the troops or the government because they want a withdrawal time, after giving him more money and more troops,... nope, not going for it.
