If you had a bunch of money, would you feel compelled to be generous with it? If, for some reason, you were set for life and you could see that your children needed a little financial assistance, would you just freely give them money without having them ask for it? If you could, would you give a large donation to your church or temple, or to some charity? If you had all the money you could ever need, what would you do? Would it be in your nature to give time as well as money to a cause that was important to you? Would you seek out ways to give, or would you sit around and think about all the things you didn't get to do? Would you let regret and laziness take you over? I would like to think I would be generous with my time and money. I am looking forward to the day when I can say, "You need money to buy a new heating system for the school? Okay, here's a check to cover the cost." I am looking forward to the day when I can say, "If you need help with that, just call me, I'd be happy to give my time." I want to be remembered by my children and grandchildren, and all who know me as generous to a fault. I am looking forward to the time when I will be able to give time and money without it being a difficult. I do not want to be an old woman who sits around regretting how I spent my time and my money during my life. Life is for living and I believe we should live it without regret, without wastefulness, and with lots of joy.
