My dad owns his own wholesale business; he sells to retailers who, in turn, sell to the customers. So, he has suppliers from whom he purchases the stuff he sells, and they often get in different stuff they pick up here and there...

This can be anything, from toys to clothes to tools to computer parts -- I mean anything -- and once it's gone, that's it. Most often, this stuff comes from stores that have closed and either sold off all their stock or put it up for auction, and the suppliers buy it by the crate or pallet. So, when I say, "They had comic books," I don't mean a few or even a few hundred; I mean a few dozen boxes of hundreds or even thousands of comic books (usually of a single issue).

And a few weeks back, one of his suppliers got in a pallet full of movies! All kinds -- old ones, new ones, sci-fi, classics, comedies... and horror.

Good ol' B-rated crap.

I'm talking real shitty ones! Cheerleader Camp, Chopping Mall, Monster High, The Manitou... the list goes on.

But there are also some real gems in here, too: Silent Night, Deadly Night, Terror Train, Last House on the Left...

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have a boxful of dogs here and very little disposable cash for the rest of the month (if I want to have lights next month!), so I will be reviewing a lot of campy, B-graders in the coming weeks!

And the fall season is just around the corner, with NBC's new series, Heroes, amongst other things.
