1. Enjoy a glass of wine with dinner. Red wine is best as it can almost halve your risk of heart attack.
2. Go to church - the one of your own choice and belief. Faith and social interaction with others can reduce your blood pressure by more than a third.
3. Eat dark chocolate - 50g daily. It relaxes you and reduces both your blood pressure and cholesterol. It's also full of "feel good" chemicals.
4. Enjoy hot oatmeal every day. And by adding one other serve of whole grains (eg brown rice, barley or whole wheat) daily, you could reduce your risk of heart attack by a third.
5. Eat fish 3 times a week, OR take 1 teaspoon of fish oil or cod liver oil daily. This lowers blood pressure, cholesterol and triglycerides, reduces arthritis pain and inflammation, protects your heart and improves your mood.
