VA. Tech is now host to the deadliest school shooting in American history. The previous, a man who climbed to a clock-tower in the University of Texas in 1966. The unidentified shooter, (As of the time of this blog) killed 31 people, hospitializing at least 22 others. Several interviews and a full account have been taken at WWW.MSN.Com.
The gunman was apparently silent the whole time, revealing his weapons and shooting down his victims without a single word, remorsefull or otherwise. Although most would find some religious signifigance in this, I find it only showed a plan, as he also seemed to have chained the doors to the locations, preventing people from entering or exiting.
Although i'm not one for prayer, i'd suggest it for those of you who do believe in it. Apparently our world is going to hell in a handbasket, and if our schools, elementry to college, are no longer safe for our children, we've truely become a sad country. Home isn't even safe anymore, with reports almost every day on molestations and abuse.
The students of Va. Tech. are a sad reminder of just how bad our society is getting. Perhaps there are things that can be done, but for right now, I have no suppositions, no answers, and no theorys. It's just another tramatic event that will mar the U.S., and it's peoples, minds for a long time to come.
