A new GT500 you ask? Well get this.. Not only is this brand new Shelby GT500 hitting pavement summer of this year, the supercharged V8 will smoke the competition with a 475 hp box of ponies and professional racetuned suspension.
SVT teams up with Shelby to pump out two of America's all time favorites, Muscle of today, and Shelby Classic of yesterday.
Though Mustang, over the years seemed to adapt smooth rounded body contours, recently sharpening, the GT500 has the same attractive, aggression seen in the 2005 GT.
Taking after the GT, Shelby's GT500 also carries the same aluminum 4 valve cylinder heads, Piston Rings and bearing. Though among other quality items, he inherits several different traits from FR500C, Ford's Grand Am Cup Series Racing Mustang: including a heavy duty six speed tranny, 14 inch vented rotors up front and 11.8 inch rear end all pulled by Brembo 4 piston calipers.
Smooth lines curve over the GT500's sweet, sleek body while the traditional LeMans stripes beg to be worshiped.
And guess what? If you worry about the future of our most loved racing pony, dont worry about it! Ford claims the Special Vehicle Team is ready and phsyced for Mustang projects to come.
My personal opinion: Though I like my 96 GT's rounded body, just looking at pics of this deliciouse peice of perfection, caused my allready text drooling self to hyperventilate.
Pretty tempting huh? Well.. If you get a little extra cash flowing through your tailpipes, you can get 3,600 lbs of rumbling, irresistable power for only 40,000 bucks!
